After being locked up at home, unable to go camping and fishing for some 5 weeks! The boys have their freedom back once more. The forecast says rain, but after being stuck on dry land for weeks on end, going fishing in the rain sounds like a lot of fun. Nato’s tent on the boat was designed to make fishing and camping on the boat in the rain possible and enjoyable, the Tent is about to be put to that very test. The boys plan to make the most of the terrible forecast in some sheltered waters. As always, a tonne of fun was had to try to catch some fish to eat despite the rain and there are big smiles all around.

It is what it is mate. We only go fishing twice a month these days and we make 2 shows for CZcams regardless of what we catch. It’s always good fun just being out there and trying to catch a fish 😁 we really appreciate the comment my man 😁

@@TheLateralLine Spent a number of years in NZ during uni days. As students we did line fishing off the rocks at Manukau heads. Always came back with a nice catch - mainly parore good enough for students!!
We have talked about fishing in that harbour for years and are still yet to do it 😬 I would assume the heads to be an insane fishing spot for king fish?

i love the videos so much been watching you guys since the very start of big angry fish .one thing you could try next time the rain strikes is you can get specific tripods and things for on the boat that you can attach umbrellas too and have a free standing camera

I know the feeling. I got a new fishing drone 3 or 4 weeks before the August lockdown and was itching to get out there at level 2. Me and my son packed up the ute and camped on the matata beach first weekend in level 2.

@@TheLateralLine my boy spends a lot of time at night helping plan our next trip and usually by time I get home on Friday arvo all out fishing gear is on the doorstep waiting to be loaded even if we can't go. It has however changed my mind a few times that proved to be a good decision. Love the vids guys keep it up so we get to have our wet Sunday movie arvo.

Chur chur, I’ve had a Scott 12 line rod S45. The boys at Manic tackel just gave me a new reel 😁 Ross Reel, only thing the reel has on it is “R Salt”? And of course 12 weight.

What is the purpose of the line clip (32:48 and other places during the vid) that you use with the bail open?
The clip holds the line so we can have the bail arm open with the drag set already to strike and set the hook. If there was no clip then the live bait would just swim away and spool us.
The clip is only just strong enough to stop the live bait and will free spool the line when the bait is eaten. Hope that makes sense? Thanks for watching 🤪

The boat show was awesome! But yes, I was shattered at the end of it. Regarding audio, we have had lots of comments like yours. The show before this one has had extra audio work done my our music man (DJ Dick Johnson) it it was way better and will be asking him to tweak/improve the audio on all future shows.
