Thanks for validating my purchase. :-)
I just bought it. Your review convinced me. I am sure it will be awesome.
Congrats!!
How this channel does not have 1 million subscribers already, I do not get it.
Thanks for the support. We are working hard to get there
Cab you use crop sensor mode and pull back the focal length to get corner to corner sharpness?
i want to start doing wildlife/bird photography but on a budget, and i'm using sony a6100, would the tamron 70-300mm good as a budget and beginner lens, will the lack of image stabilization really affect my photos?
I love that lens hood, I'm a sucker for the "pom-pom" look
Great Review! I'm having a hard time deciding between this lens and the Tamron 28-200 for an all-around/travel zoom (leaning toward the 28-200). By the way, were you able to get the Sigma I series 35mm f2 to review? Looking forward to that!
Thanks!!! Tough decision. I like the 28-200 a bit more because I feel at 300 OSS would be handy but that’s at 300mm. Both lenses perform equally well.
35 f2 is coming. Was testing it on the Leica SL2S recently
@@TECH360TV Ahhh I hadn’t even considered OSS on the long end. I think the 28-200 is best for me. Looking forward to the review and thanks for the response! Cheers!!
Same for me. I hesitate between 28-200 and 70-300 i have 17-28 so 70-300 would be good to have extreme focal. But 28-200 is practical to limit the lens switches.
70-300 is cheaper and better for wildlife but 28-200 have better aperture up to 105. Arrrgghhh
@@TECH360TV i finally took the 70-300. I Should receive it this week. It was 100$ canadian off. I wanted the max focal 300mm for wildlife. I bought in local shop Henry’s so i will have 15 days to test it. I could easily switch to 28-200 if i am not happy.
I took 70-300 finally. I am waiting for it
i combined it with the new sony fe20-70g f/4. incredible low weight (together less than 1kg plus camera) and excellent quality while a very wide spead focal length.
thanks for watching!
I did the same but I also have 35mm, 50mm, and 85mm f1.8 primes. I only use the 85mm for portraits and the 50 and 35 are so small they are worth bringing for low light.
This or the Sigma 100-400? Said another way, is the increase in weight to get OSS worth it on the Sigma or better to just get the Tamron? 🤔 (Sony's lenses are just too expensive XD)
Not comparable when it comes to weight and price. If you care about image quality more then sure but you have to ask yourself if you are going to put a large telephoto in your travel bag.
Moon photos? Anyone ever use this lens for moon shots? Thanks
Yes ,With a tripod is being near ok
Nice Telephoto “Zoo” Lens!
I know, right?
ISO 5000 is a walk in the park for an A7R IV....
you just put “64mm filter” on the screen which you say 67mm filter
Mistake in our part
Is it weather sealed
Nice... I think canon 70-300 is much cheaper and better
Hard to say, don’t have it for comparison
I think a 70-200 f2.8 with a 1.4X Teleconverter will be better than 70-300mm . . ..excluding the price.
Perhaps so
Not sure. Except on the 70mm focal, the lens seems good. And much much more lightweight 545g. You would bring this lens everywhere. Not sure you can do the same with the 70-200 f2.8
Pixel Peepers 😂 ❤
God save us from pixel peeping, utterly ridiculous and totally pointless. This is a great lens regardless of the price point. So happy I've got one on my A7iv.
Two Sony A74's
Tamron: 70-300
Tamron: 35-150
Tamron:50-400
Tamron: 17-70 ( For Filming)
Sony : 24-105
lack of optical stablization!
Yes!
it's not problem. You can use it with Sony A6k5 A6k6 or A7 II above. It's still good. I'll try and images so perfect and sharp
