Then the best guard is so brittle he’s not played in basically 2 seasons. The number 2 WR is also coming off ACL. No back up RB. Nothing special at tight end. Worst game day coach. Not seeing it

You take out that 7-9 record and Joe Douglas has a .299 winning percentage. Say that out load “.299 winning percentage”. Relate that winning percentage to baseball and that’s a record of 48-114. That would be the worst record of all time!!! I have no clue what this fan base sees in probably the worst GM in history.

Same here but I refuse to root for the guy I really can't stand until he actually does something for the Jets. Zack Wilson has done more for us than this guy. Don't get me wrong, I want to root for him but he's just a stat on paper until he actually leads the team.

Dude, that achilles tear was so devastating, especially being in the building that night. I saw the season flash before my eyes maybe 10 minutes after chanting his name watching him come out with the flag. I think we made the perfect moves to support Rodgers and hope we can keep him upright this season. Great take from a neutral mind. September cant come fast enough! J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS!

Now they have a 41 year old coming off ACL being protected by a LT that has not played a full season since 2016. Then the RT over 30. Our best lineman is brittle and has not played in two season.

As a life long Jets fan I hate seeing hype videos because the Jets are always gonna Jet. Take the entire SB chiefs team and give them Jets uniforms and I guarantee they’ll end at best 7-10 and miss the playoffs.

So much depends on the luck .....or bad luck ... of injuries. If we do not suffer injuries to key starters or a slew of injuries as happened last year with the O line.. was like a Civil War triage.... well then we certainly have a great chance to be better than good. Let's hope for the best.
Coming from a Jets v Bills family I live in this debate everyday be it Buffalo or Jets
Realistic view is it gonna lean on player health (got a lot of older/injury prone souls), *coaching* (shit should change if this year any less than a playoff bid), and Aaron's availability (separate this from injuries tho same cus lets be real - i mentioned my fam being Bills v Jets - much respect to Tyrod he broke that Bills playoff drought, and he's a great backup - but there's a reason why soon as A-Rodg went down the season did too [and yes i know he's infinitely better than Zach Wilson. Still not taking you to the promise land).
The AFC itself's strong teams list fighting against them is strong: (Bills, Dolphins, Ravens, Bengals, Steelers(?), Browns(?), Texans, Jags, Colts, Cheifs(!!), Chargers - only 7 make it; you're gonna want A-Rodg).
That said do I see playoffs? Yes, I'm just not 10000% sold this "Pie in the sky" means "Division winners, and at least an AFC Championship Game" yet. The schedule is murder, don't mean to sound pessimistic - i still think it's possible but growing up on the Jets (and Bills with the fam since they the same) respectively it's always a "Wait and see before you get amped since heartbreak is too normal out here" lmao
player/GMs rarely work out. i think this case is no different. rogers can play football. as a GM i think it will be a fail situation.

I think Rodgers days of being a Top QB are over... However if he can just be a mid level top 15 QB it's light years ahead of what the Jets have had in years. Give the Jets defense a mid pack QB who can just keep some drives alive and get the defense rest during the games will make the defense even better. Also Breece Hall was 2nd among RBs in total yards in the NFL and that's with a bunch of losers at QB.

30 yo Reddick has a much lower win and pressure rate than Huff. Also Huff has been getting better every year and is 25. The Eagles always get the Jet's really good pass rushers like Hugh Douglas Etc. The jets are paying Reddick a lot more. He had 1/2 sack more but less than 1/2 the pressure rate. The eagles didn't want to pay Reddick but Jumped all over Huff's 1st day of free agency.

Everybody’s talking ab Rodgers but this defense is special. The defense single handedly won the Jets 7 games 2 yrs in a row. I don’t think there’s many teams that can say that. I honestly think this team woulda made the playoffs with Jimmy G, Derek Carr or anybody who wasn’t Zach Wilson.
The fact is the jets defense is soft down the middle. Teams easily move the ball on the jets. When the opposing team gets in the redzone their playbook shortens. The jets have elite DB’s and it’s in this situation the Defense is elite. Other than that all teams can move the ball on them.
@@RealisticJetsFan wym? The defense was really good in the redzone. They were 7th in the redzone. And sure they were porous at times but there halftime adjustments were impressive. You might have to fact check me on this but I think for the first 6-7 weeks I think they only allowed 0-10 points in the 2nd half. The Broncos game is a good example where they let Russel Wilson throw screens and run all over them. But they didn’t score at all in the 2nd half. Ntm with a better offense that’ll let them rest they will be much better at stopping the run.
@@jaredgarcia3335 I watched and rewatched every game. I like stats, but they are really flawed. The Jets defense, unlike the Niners, are not one of those defenses that keep QB’s up at night. IMO, Saleh is coaching this group terribly. Saleh comes from the Niners. The least important position in their scheme is DB’s. Their plan is pressure the QB with the front 4 and average line backers and DB’s should be able to cover for those few seconds. With the Jets, their best group is DB’s. The Jets are probably the least blitzing team in the league when they should be the most because their backs are above average. They are weaker at safety and for all the love for Mosley, he’s terribly slow. He tackles everything coming at him but he’s way past his prime. As the field gets shorter so does the playbook for the offense. The jets defense is built for this small field. IMO though, if they blitzed more then there would be more 3 and outs, more turnovers and more punts. Most of the fan base kind of listens to these content people who go from the jets are the best defense, to top 5 to top 10 etc. Again, I feel the jets are an elite defense in the red zone and average to above average elsewhere. They are penalized way to often, the jets never win time of possession, and it seems that teams convert all the time on 3rd down

They’re not. Aaron Rodgers last full season (2 years ago) put up a similar stat line to Trevor Lawrence last season in terms of Touchdown and Interceptions. Hes not as bad as Zack Wilson but he’s not the same as he once was.
I think that's the point of this video though.. that the team is great so he doesn't have to be "MVP" Rodgers. Just like Brady didn't have to be in his prime to kill it on the Bucs. Or Peyton Manning with the Broncos. A good team will help an old great perform at a high level.
