- MUST WATCH: I managed to persuade Amazon interviewer Ardy to answer some of the most common questions about Amazon interview process! If you're software developer looking to get a job in Amazon - you will have a chance to peek into the Amazon's offices and see the interviewing space and learn how technical interview looks like.
As always: this is not an official Amazon statement, just our personal view.

This was such a pleasant exchange. Very concise answers as well as clarifying questions. This helped a lot!
Alex seems like a nice person to work with, he seems like a guy that can grill you respectfully. :)
This was great, I have an interview on Thursday, This video was really helpful... :) thanks.
How was it
this is really useful information. thank you for sharing this
Nice summary :)
I am coming to Amazon London for onsite interview from India, this was a really helpful video.
Karthik Mucheli do they have visa sponsorship??
Very interesting how this side of the business works. I'm interested to see how corporate interacts with both AWS and CF to satisfy so many customers!
welldone brother
Thanks, I enjoyed watching this interview 😍. I've completed the three online assessments, I wish they would invite me to the interview.
Hey did you cleared your final interview?
Whether aws cloud computing is demand job in it sectors
Very informative. Does it matter if the leadership principles examples are unique?
ideally - yes, if you can't give more than one example - it seems like you don't have experience.
@@SmokCode What about student internships/fresh grads? They don't have much experience actually. Are they being asked about leadership principles?
I have my on-site (virtual) in a few days. Very nervous, tbh.
I haven’t done an interview in 8 years.
You'll be just fine. :) Not to worry!
As long as you can think logically and you can deliver solutions based on your logical thinking, that would be great.
I have submitted my online assessments since 4 weeks ago but my application status is still under consideration. Should I be hopeful or just move on?
Did it went well?
@@SmokCode Yes
Then that is what you need to do if you're set on this company. Amazon receives thousands of applications each month, and to maintain the highest standards of the process - sometimes it takes lot of time.
@@SmokCode Done, thank you.
How did it go?
Is Alex still working at Amazon?
Hi we know the main and important part of the interview is the coding test that will determine your future on Amazon.
Can you deep dive into that please?
What does a programmer has to prepare on the type of data structures?
Type of algorithms?
The type of system designe?
So one can look these up and practice before the interview.
Focus on Easy and Medium difficulty problems on LeetCode and you should be good to go. And no, coding test is not the most important part of the Amazon interview process; the Leadership Principles and Behavioural questions are just as (if not more) important as the coding challenges.
@@fahadahaf Thanks man. Do yo have any good links to the Leadership Principles and Behavioural questions?
do u have any degree on software?????
I was heavily stressing about the leadership principle question. Telling myself stuff like,
"I'm not a good story teller" "How would I ever recall a story about something so specific so quickly?"
So, the part where he said it's incredibly difficult to think of something on the spot even for him - took so much weight off my shoulders. Thanks for the content!
The leadership principles and questions are public for a reason. So you can prep your self. This is important for the HR side of your interview process. They asses if you are understanding the principles of working at amazon. The other part will be with some one from the field you are applying to. In my case it was the regional manager of my division. They will test your knowledge in this division, ask you how you would handle problems etc. If you convince them of your abilties and that you are a good addition to their team it will count a lot more than "just passing" the leadership principles and questions. Dont get me wrong. They are important. They are the basis for working for Amazon. But in my view those prinicples are also the basis for anyone who wants to lead others.
Can a non British ,non EU citizen apply to work in London office?
Yup if you can get a Visa
"So you see guys, you need to apply to Amazon as soon as you can, please enter my name in Referral field..." 😁
Nobody expects the spanish inquisition
I already don't want to meet Alex on the interview, because he is gonna grill me :)
Don't be such a "no man". Alex is great, and grilling is the new tanning!
@@SmokCode Ok) I wanna be grilled now))
What was inside that invisible box?
Another invisible box.
Man while we can get some insights of the recruiting process, I really struggled watching the entire video due to the background music...really really annoying..
Would you say you require a degree to get into a software role?
No.
Is that true, that Amazon has URA rule and in order to meet it they hire canonball. If true that's cruel, you are just playing with people's life.
Cześć pracujesz teraz w amazonie w Londynie czy w Usa ?
Chwilowo w Londynie ;)
Nice hair
super, ale kiepski mikrofon strasznie
I feel like this was all very generic with the exception of the tech stack.
