The woman who sings with Jimmy is well worth your time. Her name is Renee Geyer and I would recommend "stares and whispers" to begin with 🇭🇲

Tribute to Australian songwriter & musician Andrew Durant, a man who left too early and was a contemporary of all on stage. The song was also a staple of Chisel shows. Believe it or not, but the man on tambourine, Keiran Tolhurst, wrote Pat Benetar's All Fired Up....

Renee Geyer (RIP) singing with Jimmy at the end was Australia's greatest soul/blues singer. I'll watch any reaction you do of her.

All of the musicians on stage are great but Jimmy’s vocals are insane ❤ also Jimmy would have been one of the youngest on stage and he had control of the other musicians and the stage just phenomenal.. also your right about Ian moss he is underrated..
and Renee Geyer (rip).. was also great

Great version. Cold Chisel did this song live regularly and sounds killer with them just singing the whole thing.

Hi Rory. You may need to change the title for this. This performance is actually for the Memorial of Andrew Durant in 1980. Not all of the Chisel members are here, although Ian Moss (black dress shirt) on guitar starts off singing, with Jimmy harmonising. Jimmy is wearing the red T Shirt. The female is Renee Geyer. RIP 🕊
2nd verse 3:16 is the lead singer of a band called Stars, Mick Pearling (the band Andy was in). The group of three men together includes Richard Clapton (black leather jacket), Billy Rogers, 4:51 Broderick Smith (lead singer of the Dingoes RIP 🕊️and Richard Clapton.
The guy with the dress red shirt standing next to Ian later is Glynn Mason.
6:25 Mal Eastick, lead guitarist of The Stars, Andy’s band.
7:16 my favourite moment of Jimmy and Renee together. Wow!
This is actually the performance by Chisel of this song in 1980. Don Walker even sings on this one czcams.com/video/eJBUAnIRDd4/video.htmlsi=u9BarrtB0o5T_DV9

PS Renee is a fantastic singer, and was our Queen of soul. She had here own career, but also sang on some Chisel albums and in their band at concerts along with Vanetta Fields (who also sang with John Farnham and in the Ikettes).

Well said. This is certainly not Cold Chisel so title misrepresents what it actually is. Really should fix the title now.

@@shaundgb7367, there's three members of Chisel on stage though, right?

@MariaBM1 you are correct. Jimmy, Ian and Don were there.

The song was great but the finish at the end with Renee Geyer (RIP) and Jimmy Barnes was outstanding. Mal Eastick who was the last guitarist you liked, played a stint with Barnsey in his solo days after Cold Chisel.

From this concert, Jimmy singing Last Of The River Boats (year, Australia had a period where goods were transported by paddle boats akong the Murray River). Its awesome. You dont have to react to it, just listen to it. Oh, and you NEED to hear Roger Taylor's version of Dylans Masters Of War.

Rory - loved your John Martyn - Solid Air reaction. I would like to request the song Dealer by him. I think the studio version is probably marginally stronger (czcams.com/video/c8yzU4atDcc/video.html) but this is a great live version too: czcams.com/video/P1EgzqybvhY/video.html
