Only in Your Country, do you respect them well enough that they would give you a concert on their way home. Would that our citizens gave us at least that much respect. Semper Fidelis, from a Marine across the pond...
I'm all for the Pomp and ceremony. But why would republicans embrace the coronations (especially when they are being arrested on the streets in anticipaiton of peaceful protest - which very much suggests a political agenda on the part of the state?)
There is a political agenda. To bolster the strength of its group against the challenges of the world through selfless loyalty and ruthless ferocity, both in defense and attack. The idea that people are at their best when they are standing united and serving the greater good of their society is a very controversial agenda these days, when the most prominent interest groups seem to believe that "societal duty" means society's duty to serve their particular interests.
True British people have always stood together. We don't shout about it, we just do it when it's necessary. We are a bit like a tea bag - you don't know how strong we are until you put us in hot water, and then by God, you'll find out.
Well done ! Watching from the Philippines! You make your country proud.. Mabuhay kayo! Just want to say your appreciated even in non- Commonwealth countries. How I wished they knew how luck they are to have this history with you.
I joined the Royal Marines in 1975. Back then we spent the first 2 weeks at Deal, in Kent. Our grot was next to the building where the bandies practised. A great intro to life in the Corps. 9 years of unforgettable experiences and challenges.
Fantastic !!!, I worked with Royal Marines In NI, Portadown, and a right sh**hole called Glenanne, Saracen taxi service, damned fine blokes. Had a few beers with them in the York Pub in Exmouth, happy days!.
Wow, I have seen the Royal Marines hundreds of times over past 60 years and never heard them play this march 'to fight and win'' before. Would love to hear the full march. Incredible.
@@militaryevents107 NEVER get into a fire fight or a fist fight with the Marines. Getting into a battle of the bands looks pretty foolhardy as well ! I love the idea that they are marching and playing for their own pleasure and for their own esprit de corps.
@@hb1338 Joke from a servicepersons' charity magazine: Ask the British armed forces to secure a building: The Army will surround it and prevent anyone entering or leaving. The Marines will kill everyone in there and set up a command post. The Navy will turn out all the lights and lock up properly. The RAF will take out a five year lease with an option to buy.
Doesn't it make you proud to be British can't beat the military bands from all our service men and women super proud always an outstanding performance 👏 ❤
The first time I can remember seeing the Royal Marines band was on the end credits of the movie "Thunderbirds Are Go", playing the main theme. Absolutely amazing.
Spectacular, you should see the mass band when they perform in the Mountbatten festival at the Royal Albert Hall, I have been many times it is absolutely fantastic 😀👌
@@markbeale7390 no, the proper word of command for those being present as the band passes is, "Stand Fast for the Band'. Making way, though, is a good idea. You wouldn;t want a trombone up your jacksy. I mean, never encourage trombonists. My father served 27 years as a bandsman including active service in Malaya. Cheers.
An additional element is as it was at night and quiet, the sound waves would carry more and they would bounce off the buildings, making it more louder.
It’s been said before, but can’t resist, being English born of Anglo- Saxon 7 generations - “Nobody does it like the Brits” Great to see - MARJORIE in Penticton, Canada. Xxx😢
I served as a Royal Marine in Commando forces. That said, our band is far better at their job than we were at ours, even if we were the best soldiers in the world.
To the left: St. Thomas’s Hospital and their Maternity Wing (my son arrived there); imagine entering this world with this mob, you just know you’re destined for greatness 😉

Fantastic video! Great to hear "To Fight and Win"!
The marches played were,
1) 0:01-To Fight and Win
2) 2:07-On the Square
thank you @delvinroderiguez. The drums just give me goosebumps!
Hi ru
To fight and win sounds like voice of the guns!
Really? To fight and win? 😂😂😂😂😂😂They look ridiculous!
Nah cause everyone hates us
Only in this country , they give us a concert on their way home
Europe again about to erupt in war and the U.S. have to fund it? Have a nice parade!
Absolutely
There’ll Always be an England--I hope

Very proud of the whole commonwealth,as we all should be. Hope you stick with it a while longer.
Nope. Waste of money
Tradition shown at its finest. A unifying emotion with no political agenda, magnificently presented for anyone to embrace.
