Fantastic work. All the way from beginning to Horse Guards, with the marching at the end - not everyone bothers! Lovely quality & sound.

10:33 I'm intrigued by the fact the drummer in the corner never plays his drum... on any song in the video. I'm sure there is a reason, it puzzles me though. Absolutely love these videos! Its better than being there!!
Hello there!! He's this years Lone Drummer. He's actually from the Disbanded Irish Guards Corps of Drums, not the Pipes and Drums we see marching in this video. So, he's carrying a regular Snare Drum. Not a High Tensioned Snare Drum used by the rest of the Drummers of the Pipes and Drums. So he doesn't have to play. Hope this clears it up!
@@delvinrodriguez3341 a wealth of knowledge as always, Delvin! Thanks so much!
Going home in style
Great video! The marches played were, (Combined Bands of the Irish, Welsh and Scots Guards) 1) 0:39-Blue Plume 2) 3:16-Rhythm of the Line (Oi) 3) 6:29-The King's Guard (12 Coy. Irish Guards Pipes and Drums) 4) 9:34-Fare Thee Well Inniskilling/ Kelly the Boy from Killane/ The Minstrel Boy/ The Sash My Father Wore/ The Wearing of the Green (Combined Bands of the Irish, Welsh, and Scots Guards) 5) 12:38-Through Bolts and Bars (Per Aspera Ad Astra) 6) 16:07-Company Marches of the 1st Battalion Irish Guards
Excellent work; thank you for taking the time!
@@TheCatBilbo You're very welcome!! Happy to do it!
11:22 the world famous Sash Brilliant, thank you.
Wonderful performance.🙌✊🏻
There is nothing like a Infantry band.
Hello, I'm interested in knowing who is the guy in the very back. He seems to be holding a cloth? If you know, do tell. Thank you. 😁
Lovely close up pictures of the band especially the WG musicians and the SDM
Another excellent video, Military Events, despite yet more wet weather. And thanks for featuring the 2 euphoniums at 3:25 - it adds to the excitement, and almost makes me want to start playing again!
Thank you for your service...

Hello Mr Rodriguez my friend ! What is the music please😁 Thanks, Ian
The name of the video!! Lovely march called ‘When the Guards are on Parade’
Hello Sir Ian! I guess you already have the answer! But, I still wanted to drop by and say Hello! Hope you're keeping well Sir!
@@militaryevents107 Thank you ME😊
@@delvinrodriguez3341 Hi Delvin, Im very pleased that you did! I’m well, currently making a model railway building (no helicopters at the moment!) and listening to good military music! So life is perfect 😊 How are you? I hope you are well my friend ! Ian
@@bugler75 I'm doing very well Thank you! That's fantastic! Does Sir have a model Railway? I only have the Rolling Stock, no proper Layout! At least not yet! My last purchase was a Network SouthEast Class 159 DMU! In N Gauge! Particularly difficult to find any here in the US! Was lucky to find it at such a good price and here in the US! Oh, the joys of Model Kit Building with the Guards Bands playing in the background!
Close up of my crush SDM Chambers 😊nice to be able to see faces of the bands. Kinda wish they could wear these caps and uniforms during the warm weather months
The bravest of the brave. Namaste 🙏
Thank's, for another very good recording. Sound is top, but in the "Irish corner" (the bend just after the Irish Guard memorial) the winds seems to play around on many occasions. Not only you but some other recordings encounters wind noise there. The Pindos is a mountain range in western Macedonia, Greece. The Greek word "Πίνδος" should be transcribed to English as Pindos, not Pindus as Wikipedia does. The ο= omikron, sounds like our o, not our u, and the emphasis should be on the "ί" the iota letter. Finally, the aforementioned march played by a Greek band, czcams.com/video/B1Xw-IsL3t4/video.htmlsi=eI3-oOIMetBrLGlr if someone is interested.
Hi tram90, yes, with their high buildings and narrowness, both Sheet Street and the High Street seem to act as "funnels" for the wind. Where they meet, by the Irish Guard memorial, these 2 streams of wind must collide, and it can cause havoc with the audio.
Nice stroll for a Rifles band!
Gurkha marching drills at their greatest. Excellent video.
Absolutely 💎 diamond ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Great video! The marches played were, 1) 0:01-Glorious Victory 2) 2:01-Pindos March (Greek March) 3) 4:22-Sons of the Brave 4) 6:33-The Rising of the Lark
Great enjoyed the tuba solo 😊
really good sound - the second march is excellent which I do not recall ever hearing before - name?
Hello there Clive, it is a Greek March! Called "Pindos". It's been played quite a few times in the past Mounts by the Band.
Quite a feat to blow and do a quick march at the same time
Splendid sound and drill 😊

Great video, nice to see what's going on in Windsor as I'm in London hopefully I'll be able to get up there this summer!
Great video! The marches played were, 1) 0:09-Beb el Mandeb 2) 2:33-Mechanised Infantry 3) 4:27-Silver Bugles 4) 6:06-Le Régiment de Sambre et Meuse

@@ginkiat7268 You're very welcome Ginkiat!!
Hi@@delvinrodriguez3341 , Hi Delvin, many thanks, as ever, for the march lists. However, isn't the 2nd march actually "Quick Silver", rather than "Mechanised Infantry"?

Great memories. I used to live across the street from the barracks gates and would enjoy the guards changing almost daily. Windsor was a delightful place to reside with everything in walking distance. The only downside, at times, the weather.
Thank you. Great to hear the variation of music the band played

Hi Military Events, and for the benefit of all, the title of this video is correct re Clarence House. Assuming it was on 19 May, I saw it with my own eyes. From the opposite side of The Mall I was filming the band marching, without playing, eastwards along The Mall. At first they marched eastwards in the usual way. However, instead of going all the way to Marlborough Road, where there are traffic lights, to turn off left into Marlborough Road, this time they turned off left earlier into a road where there are no traffic lights, which is normally closed-off by a gate. This time, the gate was open (I had stopped filming by that point, because I didn't know that this was going to happen). That earlier road is shown on Google Maps to be called "Stable Yard", and does indeed go towards Clarence House. Later they came out via Friary Court and into Marlborough Road, playing and leading the Old Guard, in the usual way.
Great Video Marches Sons of Brave HM Jollies Thin Red Line
back in 1998 i went to the tattoo for the first time i was a bit nervous off the loudness off the performers and i realised this was okay and as the event went on we enjoyed every single bit off the event keep up the good work
excellent performers and did us proud at the royal military tattoo we love the uniforms that they wear well timed and well performed keep on showing the tattoo on the tv and dont stop keep this programme going
Beautiful music. Shit football team 😂
A bit of rain on the finest fighting soldiers in the world ! These are REAL fighting and combat ready soldiers, not Disney characters that so many tourists (especially Americans) think they are.
