1. If he tug at the guy and he still manage to reload (he can only neutralize the leg, not the arms), he would be the only one left without a deadly weapon, and likely first to be shot.
2. You always rely on yourself first before your team, and only with rigorous training that you can instinctively count on them in a life-or-dead situation.
3. The guy in front always garanteed to be shot first, which leave the lower guy an opening (which somehow he's so bad that he cant even manage that, but can also be from his lying-down position shift the mag around, especially in that kind of clothing).
- As for the guy in front of John Wick, they both think they can reload first. And to his credit his reload is pretty decent. But decent is not enough when John Wick just straight up sleight-of-hand-perk on him.

Highly unlikely, I own the same breed of dog. It takes an immense amount of training that wouldn't be feasible to do before a movie, plus they're adult dogs so there's no way that they weren't trained since they were pups (that's where training starts with Malinois of this pedigree) those dogs are probably KNPV or something similar, they sell them for tens of thousands of dollars as protection dogs and probably came trained. The more likely scenario is that she learned the commands, and got familiar with them as they won't just listen to anyone, and that's about it. You don't train a Malinois just like that, it's arguably the most difficult breed to train, not to mention you said dogs, meaning she had to train multiple Malinois for this movie, yeah not happening.

2:47 For people who don’t know, those dogs actually did everything in this clip including jumping of the roof. None are edited.
In fact, that roof clearing seemed like a relatively easy one for a dog of that intelligence and stature. I have personally seen a Malinois take 7 full strides while vertically running up a concrete wall only to perfectly land on the roof.

I really love how they actually show Halles size and build coming into play in this. She’s not punching guys twice her size out in one blow she’s hitting them to throw them off and then blowing them away or using the dogs or going full ham pistol whipping them into submission.
It’s great when they show characters fighting hard and smart. Rather than just having very accommodating stunt men.

I love that in John Wick franchise people actually get empty and have to reload constantly. Not to mention mixing practical takedowns and clinches with gunfire makes it all the more realistic and relatable. I mean nobody would really engage in a proper kung fu fight in a middle of a gun fight. By throwing someone over your shoulder and quickly head-shotting him seems exactly what a pro would've done. No fancy martial arts, just a shortcut to take someone down and finish with a gun when he's too close to shoot him right away. John Wick movies really did set a standard for the incoming gunfights for years. They are a real renaissance for action movies. No shaky cam, not constant cuts, no boring, unrealistic shootouts where nobody gets shot and everyone has unlimited ammo, no out of place kung fu BS, just keeping it real, detailed, raw, but at the same time interesting, fast, and awesomely choreographed. John Wick movies is everything we've been asking from a action movies for years and more.

What I really appreciate in this scene is the realism of the fighting styles. John Wick is much more aggressive and overpowers his combatants. While Sofia, being smaller in stature, effectively uses momentum and parrying to take people down. This is how to make a realistic fight scene.
Let's not forget that they reload their guns which is something that's weirdly satisfying about this franchise. Most action movies forgot that bullets in guns are limited, John Wick was probably one of few that got right
does fighting nonstop and being hit a few times max seem realistic to you? i dont think anybody alive has that kind of stamina , even soldiers, there's no thing like "guns blazin" irl, that keeps bothering me , some war movie would be a lot more relatable
the only thing that bothered me about this scene was that basically all of the bad guys were armed with guns and not a single one of them could shoot either of the dogs once while they were getting bit by them, just lay down and flail their arms about the whole time. But I still enjoyed the scene

It's not superb. Every single gunfight in the Wick's trilogy is a bloody masterpiece. It's pure audiovisual genious that get's better frame by frame. And this one with the dogs biting balls all over the place, it maybe the best of it all, it's a jewel of action cinema.

I mean it's cool af but if I were to put this on a realistic scale then probably like in a 70%.

2:10 I was probably breathing fearfully like the bad guy reloading. My favorite part of this scene was that it just gets the adrenaline flowing and also still makes it feel like an impossible situation that he's got to fight through. This moment had me hoping that John would win the reloading contest first while inducing moderate anxiety. XD

Malinois aka Belgian Shepherds aka Maligators. They're literally German Shepherds on speed, more agile, faster but also very hard to raise properly. I own one and I love their intensity.
