Whether Putin is taken out or not, lets not think that Russian Imperialism is over. There are plenty of people in his surrounding ready to replace him. I do not believe that the Russian people have it in them to fight against the regime. Russia needs to be isolated for multiple generations until the Russian people are re-educated and have an understand of what freedom is all about.
Ukraine has given us a second chance to do it right this time. Let's honor the heroes of Ukraine by doing it right this time.
    Слава Україні! 🤟

So Ukraine can return to peace, with many wounds to heal, but a future of freedom, security, prosperity, and with many friends. Slava Ukraini! Stay safe!

Your guest was so right about how the West continued to treat Russia as a Superpower long, long after they stopped being one. Their economy before the war was about the same as Spain! If we suggested Spain was a Superpower, you'd get laughed out of the room. What Russia really is, is an emerging economy with nukes! And that explains the continuing deference I believe is the nukes. We treated Russia by walking on eggshells around them and in our dealings and policy towards them. I think we did take the blinders off about them after his 2007 speech in Munich but I think the West decided to still treat them like a Superpower BUT, don't become BFF's. Luckily, Russia totally removing it's cloak of respectability DID have one good effect and that is it made us immediately rethink our policy towards China so we wouldn't get hornswoggled again! Great show and great guest as always! Slava Ukraini! And, as much as I did NOT like or vote for Bush II, he DID try to do something if not to check Russia, but the help Ukraine. He pushed really hard to get Ukraine in NATO in '08 after Putin invaded Georgia, Bush saw the writing on the wall that Ukraine was on Putin's list. But, thanks to Germany and France who didn't want to ruffle the Rusky Bear's feathers, Ukraine was not admtted. We can say we are disappointed about the pace of weapon delivery to Ukraine but Every Single Day, I thank the Gods that Trump was NOT president when this happens!!! He totally would have sold Ukraine down the river immediately!

Thanks, guys. This was a very useful and valuable video. Very interesting.
I'm in total agreement with you on these points. We really do need to clearly set out the unambiguous goal of defeating Russia this year and resource aid specifically to reach that objective.
Beyond that we should then set a strategic goal (less publicly, perhaps) of" pacifying" Russia. With all the tools in the toolbox. Not just strategic economic sanctions and military aid. But all of them. Including those that the Kremlin is well versed in. We shouldn't be shy about it. They won't be.

Thank you for a great interview! Indeed Russia never changed. It always was an evil Empire. Even during the 90s, they created problems in Transnistria, they handled Chechnya very badly, and many other things. Probably KGB never released its grasp on the Russian throat. I was born in the USSR and I should see it earlier, but I didn't. I also was full of hopes that Russia will become more like the West. I moved out of Russia in 2000 and since then I become a US citizen. I should have seen that Russia couldn't be trusted, but I did all the same mistakes as all the people that was born and raised in the USA. I downplayed all the signs and hoped it was a temporal misunderstanding. Now I think it all was planned. I think Russia joining the fight with terrorists was only to get closer and find how to hurt the USA. It is the evil Empire that should be destroyed!

Now we make the same mistake, saying that the war must end when Ukraine regains all the territory of 1991. But in this case, the Russians will not understand anything again.
