You know what you did there, National Theatre CZcams page!
They knew what they were doing putting “I’m a Doctor” in the title when this is staring David Tennant.
The only reason I clicked it!

@@NationalTheatre Oh, like you didn't "realize" this! Cheeky! !
And it wasn´t his line.
“You May be a Doctor, but I am the Doctor, the definite article one might say.”
So great to see Tennant and Levey back on stage together. They were amazing in Much Ado about nothing in 2011!
Dream combo!
Saw this live, it was soo good
He's not A doctor, he's THE doctor.
@nigelnix1 - You left out the rest of the quote. "The definite article, you might say."
@@kalinystazvoruna8702 True...Russell T Davies has now made the definite article a pronoun. meep! meep! 🤪
@@germantoenglish898 Seems to me it's the kids who are making every noun, pronoun, verb, adjective, adverb, conjunctions, prepositions, and interjections a "pronoun", probably because they weren't taught the parts of English grammar in grammar school by teachers who just thought (or so I have heard) that the kids will "just figure it out." WRONG!!! This is why no one writes English correctly and that includes the British who have done away with the positive and comparative degrees of the adjective "good" (why is everything "best with them"?); and they've completely eliminated the progressive case of many verbs. Don't get me started about punctuation!!!
I proudly wear the label of "grammar nazi" for the simple reason that I spent 47 years typing up and correcting other people's writings, including people with PHD couldn't write a simple sentence with a subject, verb and object in it!!! Very frustrating.
Okay... Rant over. ::grumble, grumble::
@@kalinystazvoruna8702 I wish that more kids would read books.
@@germantoenglish898 Some do, some don't. ::shrugs:: I think they'd all rather have their noses in their cell phones looking at TikToc or other social media. What I find hilarious is that back in the 1970s when I was taking programming courses, I was ridiculed for doing that and now all these same (expletive deleted) are hypnotized by the same technology I was trying to learn. Sigh...
All I hear is Michael Sheen from the audience: NOT ANYMORE BABY! 😅
I saw this live in November and it was so good. Also, while I already bought my tickets to see it in cinema, I really am hoping that this is going to be available to stream/ buy at some point.
Lucky you. I hope I can buy it on dvd one day.
Saw it and loved it.🤩
A truly great play.
Got to see this live, was a great play and the acting was incredible.
Make Will this be available on dvd or streaming? Any plans? Please!
they knew what they were doing with the title
Can I watch this online on anywhere?
Did you find where you can watch it?
All I hear is blasphemy and swearing.
Did someone forget the English dictionary?
I think you should’ve put a warning on this clip before I listened to it.
As a Christian, this is offensive to me and I don’t mind telling you so.
Poor acting. 😒
barking without knowing context.
@@malehachowdhury5614 they wouldn’t dream of using the name: Mohammed as a swearword wood day!
You don’t need to know the context to hear what has been said.
And by the way, I am not a dog, so I can’t bark. 🙄
Not very Christian of you. 😂😎🍿
@@nikkiisrael2708 It's an English play written in the 80s set in Germany during the Nazi regime. "Um Gottes Willen" would be a usual German expression, that's not even a swear word, so no they wouldn't have come up with that word. But maybe there were worse German swear words within that time you can't use even on a stage within the context nowadays I fear. To play Germans but speaking English has it's issues somehow as you can't translate everything 1:1
yup, that's what you hear.........funny how you're alone in that.
