Been looking at WoWs Legends videos for awhile and this was the first time one of your videos showed up in my feed. No idea why you're not getting pushed up by the algorithm. Your videos are the most interesting and informative I've seen so far. They're far more than just the same old same old "let's tell everyone how awesome I did in this one match" that everyone else publishes. Everyone has good games. Rarely does it ever say anything significant about the ship or the line. Subbed.
Welcome aboard! I'm glad you liked the video. 😀 I think the problem I have with the algorithm is that I don't produce enough content to encourage the computer to encourage people to look at any of it, largely because it takes so much time and because I tend to have so little time to make them.
I love the way you do these tech tree reviews. The British DD review was really helpful and I'm sure this will come in handy if I ever decide to grind the line.
A lot of interesting info on ship history and I always enjoy seeing other people take on commanders & their skills. Good comprehensive take on KM cruiser line. More of these please and thanks.

Great guide good sir! I’m at the York at the moment. Sold it a while ago cuz I got tired of it, but I bought it back and was pleasantly surprised by it. Nurnberg was great too. FYI, pronounce Günther as Gunther Loo-chins.

She was the only ship left behind in order to draw attention away from the rest of the fleet. Which she did in a quite impressive manner. Check out the story of parts of her crew, after the ship was sunk: there was a raiding party ashore, when the Sidney attacked. These guys fought their way back to Germany after that - around half the globe. It is amazingly interesting. But then... most of them were put into infantry units and pushed into the trench war. Many of them died there. War is a shit thing.
I did a video specifically on Karl von Müller where I go into the exploits of the SMS Emden in some detail. I was also aware of some of the crew making it back to Germany (though I did not know anything about what happened to the sailors once they made it back to Germany).

Lutjens seemed to be a little fun shy when HMS Hood engaged the Bismarck. Lindemann told Lutjens “I will not have my ship shot out from under my ass!” Lindemann then engages the Hood.
I know a guy name Gunther. He's great (kind of a jerk, actually). He owns a really fantastic German restaurant around here. . . and is actually a German immigrant, actually. He has this face almost perpetually, come to think of it.
I’ve been playing for about a year. Nurnberg is amazing but when I first started playing I wasn’t any good in the Yorck. Both the Yorck and Hipper have bad reputations but now that I’ve been playing awhile I enjoy them more. They’re not bad but they do have kind of a high skill cap. Edit: I just realized this post was 11 months old you’ve probably figured all of this out by now 😂
Technically incorrect. Lütjens was an Admiral and the commanding office of Operation Rheinübung, which consisted of Bismarck and Prinz Eugen. While the Bismarck was under the umbrella of his command (he was in command of the flotilla), he wasn't the Captain of her. That would be Kapitän zur See Ernst Lindemann :)
Ioved the german t1 and t2 with tje sheer amount of shells. You will at least hit something with the amount your fire. 10% fire chance is high with the fr of those 2 ships.
Fun fact, April 9. 1940 the blücher was sunk outside Oscars Borg in the Oslo fjord The cannons on the settlement was .MADE IN GERMANY. I just love the irony of a German ship being sunk by German guns.
Just started play about a month ago, when I can. Wife, family, job before games. Plus we're just not big gamers to begin with. At tier 2 I got 4 citadels, and a few blind shots that hit. Pretty sure the dice rolled our way that game. Really like the rate of fire with the German cruisers so far, just got to tier 3. Thanks for the info.
I hope you enjoy the game, even if you can only play now-and-again. The joke (and kind of the reality) is that the game is the "thinking man's action game."

@@leehilton9932 Hard to say which is "best," because they all have their own niche. I, personally, prefer German cruisers because I tend towards aggressive play, and the combination of good turret traverse, high AP damage, and the availability of torpedoes makes them really dangerous at the ranges where I tend to play, but I'd never say they were the best. They may actually be underpowered, but I enjoy them and that's really what games are all about.
Hey Tacticangel, I'm on Xbox X and I wonder why the premier German ships I've either unlocked or purchased don't show up in my ships menu. The T61 destroyer is the only ship that shows. The Tirpitz, Graf Spee, Prinz Eugen, scharnhorst and the new battleship just released are all non viewable in the tech ship tree. Any thoughts as to why? Great video by the way!
Only some ships show up in the tech tree, presumably the premium ships that are always going to be available (e.g. USS Texas). I'm not sure there is any other rhyme or reason to it.
Almost two months later, would you say this is still accurate? Oe has the meta changed too much? My main concern as a noob is that while I am so far enjoying the German Cruiser line, you were less than optimistic at the potential usability of the Hipper and other high tier German Cruisers, unlike your video on the British Destoyers, where you pretty loudly and clearly said that the Lightning was the best destroyer in the game. I've asked around, and nobody seems to reccomend German Cruisers over German Battleships or German Destroyers. No one on the Discord, nor on the Subreddit seems to think that the Cruiser line is the jewel of the German Nation. Quite the opposite. Considering I don't have much time to grind, and that I have a historical weak spot for Germany, the USA and France over the UK and Japan, of those. 3 nations I like, which one should I focus on getting BBs/BCs with, which one for DDs, and which one for CAs/CLs?
I don't think the Hipper is any worse off than it was a couple months ago. There have really only been two big changes in terms of balance as far as I can tell: the addition of French cruisers and the patch that just came out. At first, the French cruisers were probably, on the whole, a little better and more user-friendly than the German cruisers and the Charles Martel was probably a better ship than the Hipper. But the last patch gave every tier VII cruiser other than the Charles Martel a heal and slightly reduced the effectiveness of two ships the Hopper was likely to face. I haven't played the Hipper since the new patch, but just from the feel of the game, I think she's in a better place now than when I made this video. She's not an easy ship to be good at, but she has a lot of potential if you learn how to play her.
First time I've heard about talk of nerfing it, seems strange, especially after having its turret firing angles buffed twice just to make it usable for most people. Maybe unicum players are owning in the nurnburg, I don't know.
@@lankymk Mmm... how a ship performs in the hands of the top percentile is a very poor indicator in terms of its relative power level. In fact, it can often give developers a false impression of how well a ship is balanced. Can someone tell me how the fuck you send quick commands on the ps4? I hold R1 for the message menu then use direcions nothing happens. No support or guides for the ps4 version AT ALL only for the pc one.

You have to release R1 while your stick is highlighting one of the commands.
