This is also a nice video to watch if you are wondering how to clean your cars carpeting. I started by vacuuming the carpet. Most of the directions said to wipe with a rag but I found that wiping with a damp rag produced better results. Remember to read all warnings on the package, most of these recommend gloves and adequate ventilation.

Seriously! I just used Shout Auto to get a big glob of bbq sauce out of the rug in my bedroom and I can’t tell that it was ever there. Plus it smells nice in here now 👍

You're right, this was satisfying! The filming space still looks great. I've had decent luck with Turtle Wax, but I have the older style with the attached brush like the Oxi Clean. The Shout def looked like it did a good job!

I myself use the Shout auto for spot cleaning. For a deeper and more thorough clean, I use my Bissell Spot Clean extractor with my own solution in a spray bottle. In a common 32oz bottle, I dissolve 2 table spoons of Oxy Clean powder with 24oz of water. Then 1oz of Dawn and 1oz of Cold Water Tide. Thoroughly mix the solution. For a lighter clean, just use more water. Spray, let it sit 30 seconds, and scrub with a soft bristle brush, then use the extractor to vacuum it all up. Spray the area cleaned with plain water, let sit 30 seconds, and then use the extractor to vacuum one last time. You should be left with deep cleaned seats and a very pleasant smell.
Forgot to use the Woolite Carpet and Upholstery cleaner. That works better than the ones you tested, from my experience.

This might be a dumb question, but can I use this on the cars seats?
I suppose it depends on the type of seat. We used the turtle wax on Miata seats (just regular fabric) and it was fine. We didnt brush super hard because the fabric was kinda thin.

Hmm, might be a bit risky. These are pretty strong, I would be worried about it possibly messing with the color of the area rug. I feel like the car carpet is a bit more durable, and can handle stronger cleaners.
If I were to pick one, I would try the Shout since I know for a fact that it is a very similar formula to the laundry detergent. Probably the easiest on the fabric.

Great video, and very helpful. I have the Oxiclean carpet cleaner ($5 from walmart), other products were priced the same.
It was very iffy when I was cleaning my carpet with the Oxiclean I used a toothbrush and the brush on top. Most of stains from chocolate icecream came out, but I had to spray it more than 3 times. It's probably because the stain is old.
Overall the product was ok.
Would this stuff work on dog urine on normal carpeting?
You probably wanna go down the vacuum isle at nearest dept. store. They usually have pet specific carpet cleaners.
