Excellent review. Very detailed. There is still controversy about whether the 125 version can be safe on motorways with 100 km/h limit because the very small increase in power has not significantly raised the top speed. Of course Honda does not want to mix the price level with the Forza 125 so deliberately made the PCX much slower than the Forza to maintain the large price difference. What a pity! If this scooter had just 13.5 hp (which is very possible) it would achieve motorway speed to keep up with car traffic.

Getting this as my 125 oppinons on it I'm quite lightweight had a 50 cc before only thing I didn't like was the damm wind lol hopefully as more power be better on this one 👍
Good review! However, I would prefer to have the riding part without music, especially because you mentioned, that the PCX is pretty quiet...

I have the new 2019 model,and when i went to collect it i didn't realise it was running. so quiet and no vibration on commutes to work.
I would recommend the PCX to anyone.
... and it does 375 km guaranteed in his 8 litre tank. You can easily do Lisbon to Manchester (1593 miles) with less than 100 euros. This scooty is a definition of mobility.
It pays itself. If you are a car user swap it to this bike and you will get over 75% fuel efficiency and super savings.
nice video. Can you compare to yamaha nmax? I'd like to buy one or the other but there's not much on the web in terms of direct comparison with 2018 models
Honda PCX has better suspension, nmax is shaky. However, nmax has more torque power and can handle climbs better. There’s no handling comparison because it’s different for each person, but generally they are the same. Honda is renown for their longevity and value, Yamaha is known for their powerful engines.
its tank gives you an average of 8/2.1litres = 3.8095 x 100 = 380.95KM per tank (375 Km guaranteed), I have tested it myself and 100% accurate as per Honda website.
How is it for longer rides? I have one route around 150km that I have to drive every 1 month. I thought it would be more fun to go with the bike.
It should be comfortable enough, though it depends if you ride B roads or highways? On highways I guess it’s going to be to weak form the top speed, on B roads it should be fine.

Excellent review, i am trying to decide between the forza 125, sh 125i, or the pcx 125.The forza in considerably more expensive, has more storage space, is more powerful, but heavier. The sh is a different style but still considerably less expensive than the forza, with a box attached it could be just as practical. The pcx lacks the abs breaking system on both wheels, which the forza and sh have, plus they both have key less ignition. Difficult decision.
I'm in the same situation. Don't know which one to choose.

How good is the windshield protection at higher speeds? Is it turbulent around the helmet or more calm or constant wind?
Well, there isn’t a proper windshield so there isn’t any wind protection for the head.
Hallo becouse i live in spain ,i bought a pcx in spain ,but mine is shacking and holding back .
Here at honda they say its becouse its new and i first need to drive 1000km than it should be ok .

This model differs than that of Asian model. Asian model uses Keyless Entry mode. So no need a key to ignite the scooter. Much safer and practical compare to traditional key. And the brakes also different. In Asia we have disk brakes for both front and back it give more grip than the old school drum brakes.

Mohamed Amine Benzaoui hi I bought a 2018 model two weeks ago 3100 miles on the clock and saved £1000 over buying new .
Normally I would not buy secondhand bikes but these scooters reliability is amazing with lots clocking up 40,000 plus miles of trouble free motoring.
That’s the bonus of a liquid cooled engine & 9000 rpm is not high for a 125cc
What is max speed on the road without wind with 2 persons?
I drive before old PCX with my gf, and we can make 105 km/h.

Hi, Nice review. Just wondering where the disused airfield is that you filmed at? The smart key option is not available in Switzerland yet? I just purchased a PCX150 in Australia which is the MY19 model and it has a smart key and ABS.
The smaller engines might have older version and not yet the smart key. But the shown PCX comes with ABS too. Cheers
Oh, and the airfield is not in use anymore. It’s located next to Interlaken in Wilderswil.
Sounds like the perfect venue for model aircraft enthusiasts...........Also on your ride, I noticed the digital speed readout hard to discern in daylight. Was this due to the camera, or just daytime glare in genera?l. I do think that manufacturers need to position digital information more to an upright stance, or at the least, deeply recess them to avoid glare. The Sat Nav in my 2013 Nissan X-Trail is totally unreadable at times as it's flush with the dash. Good review, cheers...

Such a nice bike my brother has one.
One thing that really irritates me is the sitting position,It is very unergonomic and leaves you no space,just why..
I guess it’s because of the way it is build and the other one is that they are mostly sold in Asia where the average rider is smaller and lighter then in Europe.
@@AutoReviewCom I am european though,the passenger seat is so unnecessarily wide when there is such limited space for the actual rider and the transition from the front to the back seat is like just sudden step.They could have made it more ergonomic and smooth.
Well I guess it all depends on if someone rides mostly alone or with a passenger. Usually passenger seats are horrible and small, therefore not comfortable at all to ride as passenger.

With a 125cc scooter you have to pretty much stay on the right lane all the time. There isn’t many opportunities to overtake, so better take it easy.

Honda PCX IS a nice scoot only the body design not attractive unlike the PCX 125cc red color is a nice design a very, very attractive, looked more ELEGANT!!?

It only has 12.2hp and therefore it doesn’t go faster. Impersonally own a MSX125 which has 10.7hp and I barely makes 100km/h. That’s how it is.
