    I love your videos, I have been waiting for someone to post in English about the new 2018 model, but I didn’t see any out there for a while, so I decided that I’d just go for it, as I knew I wanted it. But now I have seen your video, I’m even happier to say I now own a PCX 125 2018

    I rented this scooter yesterday. I must admit i never rode a scooter or motorbike before, only a bicycle, so i cant compare, but it was really great. I have adapted immediately to it, no problems. It was a fun ride, i did 220 km in one day. p.s.: Nice review.

    Great review as ever, I would consider buying this PCX as a city runaround a 125cc is plenty good enough for crowded streets.

    The rear suspension improvement is great news. That was a major downfall of my Yamaha Majesty, very hard on my back. Also, difficulty touching the ground was a problem. Now to figure out if 125cc is enough engine.

    I've ridden most of modern 125s and the pcx is better than the bloated maxi 125s, believe me. Because it's light and torquey you don't have to wring its neck all the time. It'll sit happily at 55-60 and does 120 mpg. No rear ABS not an issue as it's a drum hence to weak too lock unless you have a gorilla grip. Great review as always. Obreegadoo...or something like that!

    I just rode the PCX 125 2014 version I think (or 2016) and honestly it felt great, really nice grip to the surface and comfortable driving, only downsides is that I have no room for my helmet and that this version does not have ABS so I'll have to manage...

    You can tour on any bike it's all about determination loads have toured Europe on the PCX125.
    A guy even did Australia to the UK on a 90cc Honda .
    It's just that any touring on small bikes takes time nothing else on.

    Oh it has ABS. On the rear its not so necessary. Price Tag is still okay. Its only 200€ more. Really nice. Maybe next year I will buy this. 125ccm are really cheap on running costs. For a City like Berlin perfect.

    Was really happy watching the video until you mentioned its good for up to 60 km round trip. Why is that? Currently I'm using a Yzf R125 for 110 km round trip (3 hrs) from home to office everyday..It is a little bit uncomfortable and can get really uncomfortable when my backpack is loaded with laptops and such and the vibration is killing me every time(even with puppy grips installed). Now 2 days ago I bought a brand new pcx 125 (the black one too) and waiting for the paper works and your comment had me worried...I thought Id get a scooter because it would be more comfortable than a sports bike, has more luggage and weather protection, is AT and also economic. I use my motorcycle rain or shine even winter because it saves me a lot of money and I hate being stuck in traffic. Also I ride at max 70 km/h or 80 km/h because now I have a family, so I am happy when you say there is almost no vibration at 70 km/h. Will the comfort be really a problem at these distances on a scooter?
    Great review as always man!

      I do 70mile runs on hilly roads in england. No problem, I have Africa twin,great bike but I would keep pcx over it as it's so easy. Horses for courses of course. The scoot will do any ride,,its the riders that are the prob🙂

    Personally I still prefer the honda Forza 125 as still pretty decent mpg, bigger wider tyres, better handle bars, higher view, more hp, etc. Or an xmax 125. Both more money than pcx but I think worth that bit extra.

    • @DC-ku1pd
      @DC-ku1pd Před 6 lety +1

      The Forza 125 is very expensive, you can buy a 300cc

  • @ripmax333
    @ripmax333 Před 6 lety +2

    if you can skid the rear , definatley doesn't have combined ABS. I Think the combined braking on the older models works much better, actually on mine works flawlessly, its super safe and effective. at least in these 2018 models they could put it on the next level and put a rear disc to incorporate rear ABS. older models are a better buy for me just for braking system.

    • @patkawasaki
      @patkawasaki Před 5 lety

      ripmax333
      nonsense.
      The inability to apply only the rear brake is a significant drawback in low adhesion situations (wet/frost/snow).
      There is no feel to the rear brake with the cbs, as there are additional levers and pivots in the system, robbing the rider of a good connection to the rear brake.
      It's the worst feature of the original bike.

    • @ripmax333
      @ripmax333 Před 5 lety

      patkawasaki sorry i dont agree, i rode the PCX in wet conditions and in slippery roads. Also in those oh shit moments the CBS performed flawlessly. Locking the rear just gives me the feel that back is going from side to side , as what happens with my CRF , in that case i have more feel of the rear with my right leg as that is what im used to.

    • @booshting3520
      @booshting3520 Před 4 lety

      @@patkawasaki I have the older Combi break one, have to agree. When you pull the rear brake and both front and rear lock up its shocking.

    • @alexanderhetzel8271
      @alexanderhetzel8271 Před 6 lety +1

      Not many 150cc bikes available in europe, as we have a limit on the entry level license at 125cc. 150cc is just over that limit, so it has to compete with the next category wich is 48 hp (so 300-500 cc usually).

    I love my PCX 125 (USA model so no idle stop), but I admit it has terrible brakes and tires that are too thin, it seems like this model solves those problems. The only other issue I have is the 101kph top speed, but I have the only PCX I have ever seen in the US that is a 125 rather than a 150, so I feel like I have the slowest PCX in America.
