  • Aaron takes you on a quick ride around the block to see how this sweet scoot rides. Bigger/taller riders often find these smaller CC scooters cramped, but not on this one.

    I have a 2019. I just finished motorcycle safety class and got my license. I love riding it every chance I get. My first real one. Had a Yamaha Zuma and it was great to learn on. I will keep upgrading as I get better at riding. Best of all, I get the biker wave from most riders as we pass. I got my husband into riding, but he has yet to get his license, so he drives a modified Genuine Buddy upgraded 72cc 2stroke. I still leave him in the dust. But I love that we can ride together, even though I ended up having to wait for him.

      These scooters are made for SHORT people.....they all look like they are riding a child's bike! I am 6' tall and would not enjoy riding one of these...and maybe that is why they are not popular here in the States.

    Finally a 6ft2 guy test riding a 150cc not complaining the whole time or giving backhanded compliments.
    It is what it is and its perfect in the right enviroment. They are popular for a good reason.
    I need something bigger as I live rurally. I'm on highways for at least kms before I hit the next big city. So I need something capable of sitting on 100klms 🇦🇺
    Currently looking at mid size scooters eg Honda Forza & Kyro DowntownX 300cc. Maby even a Burgen 400cc or a 250🤷‍♀️
    Im 5ft3 so there's that too lol

    • @aaronbehindbars

      I think 300-400cc is the sweet spot of scooters. Even still, they can be rather bulky and tall, so not great for shorter folks.
      Piaggio/Vespa seem to have the most compact 300cc scooters. I tested out a Piaggio BV350 back when I worked for this dealer and was impressed with it's power and highway stability.
      BTW, I'm the one who ahot this video. Nobody frim the dealer monitors this channel, so occassionally I'll respond to comments when I'm bored, lol.

    I own a 2015 Honda PCX150 and she is great. Did the regular mods (CVT) and she reaches 75mph GPS then steps on the rev limiter. Perfect for someone with a disability. I am 52 years young 5'9" tall 32" inseam weight a dripping wet 165lbs. I have a disability that limits my motorcycle ride so scooter it is. Looking into the new Honda Forza Yamaha Xmax or Kymco Xtown 300i next. I will keep the PCX for a back up and quick store runs. Salute 07

    Good review, although I'd toss in the following (as I have a 2019 PCX in Indoensia and a 2020 Smax in USA:) The PCX is unbelievably smooth with acceleration, especially in the 30-60mph range, and absorbs road bumps like grandma's old Cadillac. Yes, the legroom is fantastic and I'm just 5'8", which makes it really cozy. By contrast, the Smax has more instant throttle response and will cruise comfortably just above 70mph, but with more weight, wider tires and a mid-shock that is very tight with a motorcycle feel. They are two different animals, so my advice is decide what your specific needs are. Power/speed, Yamaha... Smooth, legroom, Honda.

    • @JQUICK21
      @JQUICK21 Před 2 lety

      Leg room is fantastic? LOL that is because you are short!....Most people taller than you look like they are riding a child's bike on these scooters....that is why I cannot buy one and will not buy one....

      @ridinmontana4k554 Před 2 lety

      @@JQUICK21 Short or tall, I was basically comparing it to the Yamaha Smax. I own both, one in USA and one in Indonesia. The PCX has more space to put your feet forward. That's what I was conveying. The Smax it's difficult for tall people because the seat hump is too far forward.

      The problem is, people expect it to handle like a motorcycle because it’s one of those scooters that resembles a motorcycle. And then when the delusion that it’s a motorcycle is taken away, they blame the SCOOTER instead of blaming themselves for the delusion. Yes, it “looks cool”
      (and it is!) but it’s still a scooter, with the limitations of a scooter.
