    I've spent the past three days watching every one of your tracker restoration videos. Man I was so utterly impressed with your work. I was so impressed that I went out and found the EXACT same boat, a bit newer but the same and ill be doing the same thing to it. I would have never attempted something like this without your trailblazing here.

    I am really impressed with the work you've done on this boat! I have an '89 Pro 17, pretty much the same hull and configuration as yours, and I've gotten a lot of ideas from what you've done here. You already answered several questions I had, and given me new ideas for them. Excellent video!

    Thank you so much for these videos. I am about to do exactly what you did to your boat on my 1991 Alumaweld 17ft bass boat. Everything you did I am doing so its nice to be able to have a game plan and items purchased prior. I work overseas and only have 3 weeks at a time at home which makes it hard to do anything lol. Hopefully I can knock it out in a week or two so I can fish a week before I'm back in the desert lol.

    Great job. I have a 93 and am working on it now. Couple of quick questions. Where did you get the new cable for the starter? The 20 amp breaker-was it going to your fuse panel? I believe the 60 was going to the trolling motor. Love the tweaks and will post some videos as we get it a little closer to being ready. Need to do a VRO delete next, but not a huge priority since most lakes around here are trolling motor only...

      I got the cables off Ebay, and yes the 20amp breaker goes to fuse panel. I use it as protection as well as a battery disconnect.

    This is spectacular....well done! I love the vinyl flooring. I've never been a fan of the carpet (especially here in FL) it always wears out and looks awful, and it always get's mildew and stinks. I think I could hang with all of it other than the engine rebuild. That would intimidate me. Were you able to do the engine rebuild while it was on the transom, or did you have to pull the powerhead to have it machined??? Great job brother, that's incredibly inspiring.

    TRACKER NEEDS TO PAY YOU TO BLUEPRINT THE LAY OUT FOR THEM, NO JOKE..!
    Yours is the most tournament ready one I’ve ever seen.., I like Bass Trackers myself, and hey, that sucker will make it in water that a $60k Ranger won’t go..
    You’re picky like me, I mean right down to all of it, like you should be..!
    That’s one thing I’ve never had much time experience with is wood work and such..
    I’d rather have yours than any new one I’ve seen..
    DO ME A FAVOR PLEASE.., IF.....just IF YOU EVER DECIDE TO SELL IT LET ME HAVE THE FIRST CHANCE TO GET IT PLEASE..
    My son is 11 now and I took him bank fishing, the. We both got the fever and I wound up getting a ‘88 Pro 170.., pretty descent shape and best of all it runs just like a new one..

    Phenomenal job! Looks great front to back.
    Quick question for your dock/drive lights... where did you get the quick release mounts for the lights... I’ve been wanting to do same mod since before I saw yours, but need a quick release solution.

    Is there any reason you didn't add storage at the front of the boat on either side of storage hatch you added? I have the same boat and I am considering doing that but am curious if there was some obstruction that made you not do it (so I don't run into the same issue). TIA

      Rod locker on LH side you could add some shallow storage on the RH side but i didnt need anymore storage for my needs

    Hi there, I'm nearly finished with my bass tracker face lift.. thanks for all your help, I want to put some lights as you did in on your boat,so many choices and prices most lights are plug in type for a house outlet, How did you setup yours. This will be underneath the inside gunwale and about total 35"
    Thanks
    Happy hunting and fishing

      I purchased 12v led strip lights and then modified them to work on the boat. Why i didnt make a video is because it took quite a bit of modification to make everything work with a remote control all on the same circuit.

    I've watched most all your videos...they are great. In one of your videos I remember seeing the homemade support for your boat cover. I cannot find this video now. Do you recall which video this would be in?

    You da man very sweet, I'm getting ready to re-carpet my 96' pro18 tracker, not sure if I should put new wood down as I'm not at your skill level(first boat) it doesn't look bad no weak spots what would you suggest, and the lights are awesome👌how difficult was it to install? also I read that using glue spray was good for vertical carpet applications? One last question(sorry bud) would water based indoor outdoor glue from home depot work for the wood and aluminum? Again very nice work
    Thanks

      @PUTEMDOWNProductions  Před 4 lety

      I would purchase glue from marine store and yes replace all the wood its really not too hard. 3M makes a good spray glue as well. Which lights the docking lights or deck lights? Docking lights were really easy the deck lights were more involved and heavily modified

      Thanks for the fast reply, what type of wood should I go with and thickness?, I was referring to the deck lights sounds a little above my knowledge although I have replaced my deck fishfinder, put usb chargers and rebuilt my carbs,fuel pump and water pump.I run a 24v trolling system.
      Thanks again

      @@PUTEMDOWNProductions Thanks for the info, I'm checking out all of your tracker build videos, I'm almost ready to start mine I did notice my fuse box looked well OLD I'd like to replace it I think it's an 8 way water proof fuse block(I think) right? I'm planning on putting deck lighting(yours is awesome) would I need a 12 way fuse block to put those lights on?, thanks for all your help man really appreciate it👍

      @@marklopez8378 yes you will want more fused connections once adding accessories, check out the "Blue Sea" fuse blocks, that is what i used and love it

    Good morning. I have absorbed most of your content as i have a 1988 pro 17 im rebuilding. Cannot find the specs.
    What size fuel tank should it have?
    What tank are you running?
    And whats the ballpark cost.
    Great work and thanks!

    • @PUTEMDOWNProductions
      @PUTEMDOWNProductions  Před 3 lety

      Mine has the original 12 gallon tank that is not removable. I think most of the older boats had the 6 gallon portable tanks usually 2 of them, one hooked to engine and one for backup

      I used roughly 12 yards, not sure on glue but i wouldnt use what i did... it has held up ok but took forever to dry!
