Can't wait to try this on my 16 foot Lowell boat. We need a lot more people like you out there helping us all. Thank you so much !!!!
I used it on my hwy truck ,cleans like new.
Absolutely great video and helped me out a ton. I just bought and 98 Bass Tracker and it was about the same condition as yours. After about an hour of work I was overly please. This was perfect! Huge thanks for the video!
I just picked up a ‘92 bass tracker TX 17. I will be doing this thanks to you! Great video!
Looking to clean my 1995 Pro 16 Bass Tracker to wrap it. Ran across your video. Disbelief at first at how 28 years of scum could just wash away with no scrubbing. So, I bought the Purple Power cleaner. All I can say is "WOW". Took 3 to 4 coatings to rid 97% of the crud. A few places I will have to scrub a little but "WOW". Thanks for the video and info. Boat looks like new. A believer now.
I’m picking up a 86 tracker heritage tomorrow and this is the first thing I’m doing.. thank you so much..great Info.
Nice man I’m glad I saw this I have the same exact boat just a 93’ with a mariner 50. That thing really works miracles. It looks a lot better! And since we almost have the same boat I may do some of the same mods as you! 😉
Nothing better than a ‘clean’ vintage bass boat and it certainly increased its value especially when it comes time to sell
Nice vid bud, Im going to re-carpet and and get some new seats for my 96' tracker pro18, I was going to paint the boat but after watching I'm definitely going to clean up the aluminum.
Thank you
Great minds think alike, I myself am a trucker and have used the same stuff on my own Bass Tracker and it looks beautiful, obviously this man is very intelligent like myself, LOL !!!
You earned yourself a subscriber! I got a 2003 Fisher 1700 that I’m a proud owner of. I also have a Humminbird helix 7. I’m for sure gonna try to find that aluminum boat cleaner, my boat could use a little brightening
Wow. Pretty impressive.I've been looking for something that will do the job. Thank you for posting this!
Thank you for the video. I did the same thing tried all kinds of stuff never really worked until I seen your video. Thank you again.
That is sweet!!! Thanks dude! I have tried everything! I also have an older bass tracker.90 model tournament tx. Its a great boat all origonal but that hull is filthy.i am gonna order a couple jugs.thanks alot
Good to know. I have a 2019 Bass Tracker Classic and I will look into buying that Purple Power stuff.
I have the new tracker classic as well and this stuff works amazing, get it asap
I have the same boat, you just helped me so much! Thanks man!
Just came across your your channel looking for some info on a 1989 tracker I've had now since 2005. Want to replace the carpet, fuse panel, tried cleaning it couple times but that aluminum brightner looks amazing can't wait to try it.
I wonder if that will work on my SeaArk RXV. It has the camo painted surface. That's some amazing stuff! Thanks for sharing!
Awesome man I'm buying this stuff tomorrow. Thanks for the vids they helped me a lot.
I have a '92 Tournament TX 17 and this worked awesome. Thank you!
THANKS!!! Just orderd a gallon from local auto parts store...can't wait!
yea i was a truck driver until i had to quit because of the va, and that stuff workes i used that stuff for a long time great vid bro.
Just used it today. Amazing results !!
Seems to be a great product. Thanks
my bass boat is white painted alumn, but would be great for my all alum. utility trailer, great stuff, thanks
Man this is awesome!!!! Lol label it yourself and sell it bro! Thanks for makin this vid man 👍🏽
I just tried this, followed directions as it said. Although I didn't have the same results. I have a 24' pontoon. It did get some stuff off but mostly just left streaks. I put 4 applications on.
Mine was streaky after first coat, most areas on my boat i sprayed it down and rinsed it off 2-3 times to get rid of streaks
Gonna try it today. Did it cause any pitting? Still look good? No regrets? Using on a bass tracker also! Thanks!!
It works amazing I used it on my Lowe worked great had some rims on my car would not come clean well this fixed that we use it alot at work on dump trucks and tractor trailers
apply spray from bottom to top do about half the side at a time , wash with a brush fast then rinse from top to bottom
Thanks for sharing. You can always trust a fellow Iowan!
Whoa... thanks buddy... oh you had my dream boat lol.... my 12" oldest boat gonna be back in 1990 lol lol
For best results wet the surface and spray on then use a small broom to quickly scrub. Using a broom prevents runs and gets an even application onto the surface. Then spray off with water.
impressive when something actually works.
Wow this stuff is amazing thanks for the video
Awesome! Thanks for sharing!
I bought some Aluma Bright that will do the same thing. I used it on AC Units to clean the coils. Always clean your AC and Radiator From the inside out so that you don't plug up your coils.
cNT WAIT TO TRY THIS ON MY BASS TRACKER THANKS MAN!!!!
Use chrome and mag polish and a buffer, mirror shine every time. I’ve polished 3 Bass Trackers that I’ve owned like that. You can do both sides in a hour or so.
Did you seal the mirror finish with wax?
@@mikewilsonfishing9328 no
@@mikewilsonfishing9328 you don't wax metal if you use metal polish it provides protection like a wax would wax is for paint
Nice just find another bass masters sticker and put back over it now to complete the boat put it back like to the original look good looking decal
Great information...Thanks!
Beautiful boat!
Wow. Nice product. Can't get it in Canada, but there's a product here called "Aqua Pro Aqualum" which has the same active ingredients. A little more than $9 a gallon, but hey, didn't look like you used that much anyhow!
It looks good for sure I did my boat after watching this vid. But it’s not the last step. You have to polish the boat with aluminum polish to really make it shine.. a polisher would probably be the way to go. I just used elbow grease and I worked my butt off doing it...I ordered a polisher and will really shine it up when it comes in. Can’t wait
Yep if want it to last longer definately needs sealed with wax or polish
Great video! So what’s the verdict with the Shark Hide? Did you use the Shark Hide protectant after a cleaning? Did it help seal and protect to help keep it clean after use at the lake?
Ended up using mag wheel polish on one side and white diamonds polish on the other, so far both sides look equally great after 20 times or so in the water
I see you are in Iowa also. So, you must know what you are talking about. I'll try it on my boat and canoe. Thanks. I see you are in Black Hawk. I am in Cedar Rapids. I might see you on the water sometime. Good video. I have to get some.
I was laughing the stuff works so well its almost like magic. Sold!
Hahaha “I would have paid $50 a gallon” that’s the best feeling right there
Same thing truckers use on their saddle tanks. I think it's the Aluminum Bright brand. I've used it on my 02 Bass Tracker.
Adding additional info to my comment. This stuff does etch the metal so I wouldn't use it over once a year.
Great video
Nice!!! Thanks for the video
Keep it up liked the video and you have an excellent personality.
Good video. I have an 83 tracker all restored. Ill have to check this out to clean it up. What type of wax or sealer do you recommend? Can i use the spray on wipe off detail wax stuff or do i need the wax that has to dry and turns white before wiping off or buffing?
I would use a metal polish not a wax to help seal the aluminum, i used black diamonds polish with great results
thats seriously impressive ! just spray and rinse, no need to scrub or nothing :D
That is fricken amazing!
Now that you have had it on there a little while did you notice any issues with it coming in contact with your carpet, paint or decals?
No issues, i would recomend some kind of sealer after it dries to protect the aluminum, when i do this again next spring i plan to use sharkhide sealer and will shoot another video
Travis In Canada
I am wondering as well
That's some good stuff. I would just be careful not to do it that close to any other vehicles because the acids will destroy the clearcoat.
One question, does the Aluminum seem to tarnish again any quicker after this product has been applied? I'm thinking of using this on my Stabicraft but looking at the finish had wondered if it lasted very well after application. I'm using my boat in salt water as well which may or may not make a difference. Any feedback would be appreciated.
If you wax or polish the boat afterward it should last quite a while
Huge difference. You may want to wash it with soapy water afterwards to neutralize the acid.
I found the aluminum brightner turns my white paint yellow after sometime. Do you think washing it with a heavy duty soap will neutrilize the acid to stop it from yellowing the paint?
good infos, here in south korea
Thanks for the video!
Well I ordered me a gallon off ebay lol I paid same price but shipping. Cant wait to see how this works on my boat ! Thanks for the video.
People have said they sell it at O’Reillys as well
Dude ! This stuff is amazing! I didnt even realize how dirty my boat was haha boy she looks like a new boat right now
So how did the purple power do one you scrubbed it ? Also I posted you videos to tracker boat group I belong to . Have a great New years my friend Chris
I dont think ive ever tried scrubbing
how awesome it look nice now
Looks good
Would you mind letting me know where you picked it up? I would like to order some. I cannot seem to find it somewhere that ships.
I bought it at blaines farm and fleet but have heard O’Reillys has it as well
I hope to do this to my 1988 Sea Nymph 14R!
I did the same to my boat then polished it to a chrome finish and first time on lake waterline stained it didn’t come out😩😩😩
wow, that turned out amazing
I realize this is an older video now so not sure if someone will see this question. How does this aluminum brightener affect the colored aluminum parts of the boat. Looking at buying an older tracker boat that could use a shine, but would like to restore the original color in the "Bass Tracker" lettering and coloring surrounding it as well as remove the tarnished aluminum. Does this damage the logo at all or do anything for bringing out it's color?
Does nothing to painted surfaces other yhan white, it can discolor white paint
great job, Mr Clean eraser will work with that cleaner
Nice! Does/can the brightener damage any non-aluminum surfaces (i.e. carpeting)?
Did not damage my carpet or decals, it does discolor galvanized steel
You should ask the company for commission. All the reviews say the same thing that they're going to go out and buy a gallon of this. You can put me in that category also. To get that much product that work that well is a great bargain.
Thanks for sharing the information.
When you filled the spray bottle. Is it filled with a 50/50 mix of cleaner and water or 100% cleaner
100% cleaner
Boy that stuff is potent! Any negative effects on the decals/registration numbers?
Not that i have noticed
Did it effect your decals or carpet later?? Looking at the same boat for sale now, I like my toys clean. I think WD-40 would get rid of your grease and old sticker residue also.
No didnt do anything to decals or carpet
After you used this product how long did it take for the Aluminum to ugly again. Cabellas says it will get ugly really quick without a clear coat?
Thanks
Couple uses, year later still not as bad as it was, needs waxed or treated with sharkhide, not necessarily a clear coat
we are new here we are stopping on to show some love to your channel
Dumb question from new boater here, could removing the corrosion and grime cause some leaks to develop? I just bought a tracker and looks like your before but I am afraid of it leaking after cleaning
I would say possible yes but it likely already leaks if corrosion is that bad
Put this on and turned it white, i am now polishing it with some mothers mag and aluminum polish.
Does this work for water spots as well? I have a 12ft Gregor I need to clean up.
It will need some sort of polishing after to make it last, but yes will remove hard water stains
"You have to be careful of this because of the acid..." he says while spraying HIS CARPET! 😆
Carpet is getting replaced, but it didnt damage it at all
In the video it looks like it turned the aluminum white. Is that the case or was it shiny and the video gave it a white appearance?
Makes it look like raw aluminum then you have to seal it with polish or shark hide
Can you tell me where you got that cleaner please. Great job you did.
I buy it at blaines farm and fleet but ive heard you can order it at O’reilleys. Youll want to do a light polishing to seal the aluminum after to keep it looking good
Thanks what I meant to say is where do you buy it thanks again.
Oreilleys
Do you have any solutions for it turning that whitish color? I’d like it to come out that shiny aluminum color and tried this today, might try to buff it with some aluminum polish?
Ya try that or some preservative like sharkhide
Thank you man, I took my boat out after trying this on one side and didn’t put a protection seal and came out the color of the water. Going to put the sharkhide on and see what happens. Will let you know results!
7:10 lol and you're in sandals.
Just giving you hell is all. 👍✌️
Appreciate this video, the Alumaweld needs some help.
Im still alive haha
Buying this for my 1970 valco now
I hope to try it on my '88' Sea Nymph 14R!
did you mix it with water and if so how much
No water just straight brightener in the spray bottle
Kind sort of looks like it’s oxidizing the aluminum. How did it hold up over time?
I do a quick polish and holds up all summer
Nice 👍🏻....but, make sure you keep your good looking truck/car near by while using acids 😂, and of course some maniac honking the horns!!!
Man that is the good stuff! Gonna get me some of that
Just plan to protect the base material after with either polish or sharkhide
@@PUTEMDOWNProductions thank you very much for that nugget of information cuz that would have been overlooked
Great stuff but only issue I found with it is when using it on painted aluminum surface. The white paint turns yellow eventually...Is there anyway to prevent this from happening?
I am not sure about that one as mine doesnt have any paint, possibly try shark hide after?
@@PUTEMDOWNProductions what is shark hide?
Metal protectant www.Sharkhide.com
@@PUTEMDOWNProductions Thanks for the reply but it looks like the sharkhide stuff is also used for only bare aluminum not painted aluminum...
How are those aluminum surfaces one year later? Any regrets from using the aluminum brightner?
No still look great
FABULOUS . hOW MUCH IS IT AND WHERE DO YOU BUY IT?
Ranges from $8-15 depending where you go but any aluminum brightener should do the same thing
Thanks!! i just bought an aluminum canoe and this is gonna work wonders.
does it have any affect on paint or decals?
Didnt do anything to decals, not sure about paint...
Any chance you did any foot tray trolling pedal?
I did not on my boat but have done them on others, id pull the front deck off to do it, its pretty easy
I see the boat is aluminum and not painted but your putting it on some of the stickers so I am just wondering, because I don't know, Can I use this on my aluminum boat that's painted or will it mess up the paint
I would be cautious around paint maybe try small spot first see what happens im really not sure
@@PUTEMDOWNProductions Thank you so much for your quick response
I have an older feather Craft, would that treatment effect the sealant that I have on the boat??.
I am not sure on that
I think I'm going to go ahead and give it a try. I'm trying to restore the boat and I can always apply more sealant..it never was a leak, just have it on there as a precautionary.. thanks for the reply and the video..
That's only half the process though. Now you need to polish it back up. Even a single stage cut and polish would make it shine again.
WHOA!
