I don’t understand the theory of Saville making the phone call.
The man who did it was from my city of Sunderland he got the name wearside Jack after this happened! There was a huge search door to door around the estates looking for an accent match!
My father would regularly throw him out of the cemetery for sitting around drunk 100% not Jimmy Saville, wearside Jack was actually convicted and served time for causing huge disruption to the investigation and leading police officers out of Leeds.

I used to work with an ex-prison officer, he was involved with the suicide watch on Peter Sutcliffe whilst on remand. He said that they all thought that he wasn’t mentally ill or hearing voices.
That was established in the early days.. nothing new

I always remember when I first read a proper account of satanism and what it is all about.....and I literally walked around in a daze for quite a while, after you have read it, you can't unread it can you? Sutcliffe wasn’t lonely he was married to Sonia, he said he heard voices from god, while digging graves as a job, saying kill. I have passed his and Sonia’s house many times, it is not that far from the Black Panther Leslie Whittle’s kidnapper and killer.

Greatest respect for John Wedger … however JS lived overlooking Roundhay Park in Leeds not Alderhay. He was never suspected as being the voice over on the tapes. The man responsible did come from North East and was later prosecuted and served time ( forget how they found him) . Yorkshire Ripper did not just attack/ target sex workers and this was one of the major mistakes made by West Yorkshire police. He was arrested in Sheffield by ordinary beat cops in a well known area for sex trade about to commit another murder. It’s important for the victims to get this info right. Was in my teens early 20s living in the area at the time it was Terrifying! Enjoyed listening to this excellent podcast

I live in Manchester and when George Sutcliff was active, I lived in the red-light area. where the working girls worked.

I've read about serial killers for decades, psychological aspects, and yes Sutcliffe was friends with saville, there's actually a picture of Sutcliffe with saville AND frank Bruno together. As for the ripper voice tape, I'm certain that's NOT savilles voice, its more a delusional fantasist. Sutcliffe was belittled and short changed by a prostitute, also many of these killers have an overbearing mother, which leads to the hate and crimes. Saville was a sex offender and a sick pervert, but Sutcliffe was entirely different, he didn't kill for the sexual thrill or any gratification at all.. He killed with pure hate.

My mother had to walk through Roundhay Park for her night job during Sutcliffe's rein and I used to have nightmares she would become a victim. This was in 78 when I was 8 years old. My father never thought of dropping her off with us in the back of the car 🙄. She gave it up after a few months thankfully. He didn't leave one of his victims near Savilles flat though.
Okay, saying the Moors Murderers recorded Leslie Ann Downey for anything other than their own sadistic amusement is speculation at best. Ian Brady was the kinda guy who would’ve done that for fun. He read de Sade for fun, for f*ck’s sake. He was easily that screwed up in the head, let’s not speculate too much.
