The model you got is "experience" which is to take down the volume at concerts and other loud events. They have the "quiet" model that is specifically meant for sleeping. Loop earplugs are an interesting concept, I’ve looked into them for my adhd. The experience ones are supposed to muffle, not mute noise. It’s so someone with problems focusing on a conversation in a noisy area can use these and focus on the closer (louder) person. They are also used to protect hearing in loud areas like concerts. It seems like you were looking for the “loop quiet” ones for sleep. Thanks for reviewing them, I’ve been looking into getting those for noise muffling purposes

I have those earplugs, while I have slept with them once, it's honestly been a game changer for me in social situations, I'm pretty sensitive to noise (especially background noise, when loads of people are talking and stuff) and this helps me make things more bearable while not looking too rude if I was wearing headphones (e.g. restaurant). Also great when flying, makes the engine noise not as present :)

AuDHD here and have several different Loop models--the Experience Pros are the best for concerts or other large public events with a lot of overwhelming noise. The pro models are nice to change out the little silicone central ring to adjust the amount of sound they muffle, but I've found that I like having a separate pair of the Engage ones for like, coffee shops and other places that aren't like LOUD but have a fair amount of ambient noise that can make auditory processing challenging. They're both useful for difficult sensory processing days, though. I always have a pair on me just in case, and the different sizes of the silicon ear sections makes it really easy to find a comfortable fit! I haven't tried the sleep ones because that's less of a thing for me, but I definitely recommend Loops overall!

I actually use the those same loop ear plugs for work. And you'd be surprised at how much background noise they actually filter out. I'm a volleyball ref, and when I'm in a gym blowing a whistle it blocks out all the cheering and other refs blowing whistles, and all of the high pitches of the whistle while still being able to hear conversations. Now I will say, that specific version is not effective with blocking out snoring or talking while trying to sleep. The brand has a different version call quiet that is better for that.

The loop earplugs are very useful: they are not soundproof, so you can go about life as usual, and hear people if they need you (unlike sound canceling earbuds) it’s incredibly useful if you have sensitive hearing. As I scroll down I see other people with the same experience! Cheaper ones also work, if you can’t spring for the expensive ones.

I'll wear them when it's too loud, but I'll also wear them if I'm in a quiet room with others. I know it's stupid, but sometimes even other people's loud breathing can make me uncomfortable. Having the earplugs to block out those small noises helps my brain to not feel so uncomfy.

17:39 actually funny thing to add: The Loop earplugs are made for concert or parties. Especially for like artists or worker in those kind of jobs. I am working at a bar in a concert and party venue and bought myself the black and gold earplugs from Loop. They have more add-ons, like the little silicone thingys in the package, that you can add to the earplug. And they are so comfortable to wear and me as a concert worker I really enjoy wearing them, because its quite less noisy but I can still talk to the guest's orders.
I just wanted to give that to Loop. But all in all i guess its kind of a preference.

I love my loop earplugs! I have the Engage Plus version. For one thing, I love that they give you a range of earplug cover sizes because my left ear is smaller than my right, so I use both an XS and S. I actually wasn't a fan of them at first because it seemed like it was blocking out the background noise so the foreground noises actually felt "louder". I think I got used to that pretty quickly and it started to feel more beneficial. I have ADHD and chronic health issues so I'm pretty sensitive to noises. There was a time when I was extremely sensitive, so the earplugs helped a lot. Anyway, all of that is to say that I think they are worth trying and definitely give them some time to see if they work for you. Loops are a lifesaver for concerts. Seriously. Went to the Eras tour last summer, I was the only one of my group who didn't have ringing ears for at least a day afterwards (I didn't have ringing ears at all). They're good for other public places too, if you're trying to have a conversation or if you have a hard time picking out specific voices in loud environments (like conventions, etc.). I've tried several of the different models they have and the concert ones are by far my favorite--they're also nice for airplanes if you don't want to wear headphones, or if you use an over-ear and want to boost some of the noise cancelling. 100% recommend.

This isn't one of the permanent whitening methods though, which is better, or at least healthier for your teeth. This one is temporary because it just negates the yellow of your teeth with purple, so by the end of the day, it will be back to normal. But in exchange, it doesn't damage your enamel and make your teeth sensitive.

I think the Loop headphones seemed to work well. You wouldn't want to completely block out the sound at a concert anyways, just dampen it so you arent at 100bd. Which concerts these days are a crazy amount louder than they used to be . So the loops should act more like a reusable version of the squishy earplugs from like guitar center or a pharmacy
