    Just put together the 4x6 version of this shed last night. This video along with the instructions made this a pretty easy job. I was afraid the roof was going to be trouble but only took about 30 minutes of the entire job. Total time took about 3 hours working on it by myself. The unit is much sturdier than I thought it would be for the price. Only issue is the door sticks a bit. I plan on hitting it up today with some caulk to help keep bees and rain out

    Hi, you have simplified this a lot. I had a few problems but the worst is I can’t get the roof on. I put one side one and try the other and it all just pops out again. I resorted to screwing the roof on at the door side to try to get some anchorage to get the other sides in place but I just cant get it on. What do you think the problem is?

    Saw the video - thought, yeah no problem. Should have read the comments about the roof first. Figured out that olive oil makes the panels fit together nicely, without too much swearing - but that roof. Oh Keter, attaching it to the shed is a bloody nightmare. The instructions just say pop it on with the spatula provided. If anyone has any tips about the roof, please let me know.

      The roof problem brought me to this video. Still isn't on.

      @@davidprice775 Olive oil is a must. I had a, surprisingly strong, 80-year old woman* pulling down each corner, while I was inside tagging with a few screws. And a flat surface you can move around on. But it needs patience. Also - brush up on some colourful swear words to brighten your mood. But be careful if you intend to anchor the shed down. It's easy to split the corners.
      *It was lockdown so my choices were limited.

      Extra tools needed:
      1. Another cordless drill to drill pilot holes
      2. A mallet
      3. Silicon spray

    Took me 3 hours to put up. Worst part by far was trying to get the self-drilling screws in. Why oh why don’t Keter pre-drill the aluminium strips and use self tapping screws. Worst part by far, the rest was far more straight forward, even the roof was simpler!! 😊

    If you live in uk or any other countries thats raining and damp half the year dont waste ya time with plastic sheds, all winter you have condesation dripping from inside of roof soaking everything inside it, just had to dry mine inside again, basically every 2 weeks 1 litre of water, sheet over items was covered with water had to empty it all off so tools will rust, wood or cardboard will be damp, need a dehumidifier running in them all winter if you want to store anything

    Can you change which side you put the door hinges on?

  • @angelaadams7889
    @angelaadams7889 Před 4 lety +11

    I bought one. The video makes it look simble, but it is not. The video glosses over the points where you actually assemble pieces that are hard to put together and skips to where the pieces are already together. Additionally, if it is off by any, that roof is the devil to get on. Finally it is quite flimsy. I am a 5'5" 56 year old female and I can easily move the assembled shed from place to place by myself with no equipment. The worse part is that the flimsy white plastic trim pieces were bent and made it very difficult to insert the side panels, even using the spatula provided. Half way through the assembly, I debated sitting it on the curb for garbage pick-up. I would gladly return it, if I didn't have to remove all of the screws or try to put it into a box to return. One good point... we had tornados with high wind advisories last night and it didn't fall apart. I had it wedged against my gazebo, which may have helped. aa

      Hi I’m also around your age and pretty good at DIY, but this was a pig. The roof is a nightmare. I had to get it built before weather turned so the roof is just screwed in on one side because it just wouldn’t go on, then a gale blew up. Luckily it was enough to keep it safe. Im determined to finish it though by hook or by crook, hopefully not a crook!

    Just put one together, without breaking into a sweat, took 2,5 hours. Follow instructions, and an extra hand here or there to hold it in place. Not too much of a problem, roof mounting needs a bit of patience

    Do not take any notice of this video as it is misleading, i am a cabinet maker with 45 years experience and it took me 4 hours to put together. You also need a rubber mallet, the panels do not slide in to the corner pieces easily and the roof is a nightmare to put on, release the top screws from the corner pieces so you can push out the framework to fit the roof channels. If you have a look at one assembled in B & Q then notice they have not been able to put the roof on.

      There are good youtube videos that show how to anchor a small shed to a larger structure....they show to put a 2by4 horizontally on the main structure and then devise a way to attach the smaller shed, either using cord or wood that stretches from one to the other, etc
