Hi mate I can't put the screws in for the door in the door aperture it seems like there not drilled out I have tried screwing through the holes but it only turns about 3 turns
@@macker8017 They felt like that for me too. I had to apply quite a bit of pressure and they eventually self tapped into the metal.
I notice you assembled the shed very close to a wooden fence. I am assuming all the fasteners and fixings etc can be accessed from the interior. I am about to order this shed and intend to site it within a few inches of my 2 metre high brick garden wall. Can you tell me if this might create problems in putting the shed together? Many thanks.
@@briancranch618 Hi Brian, actually no I pulled the shed out from the fence and fixed the screws then pushed it back. I shifted one corner at a time which was quite easy in my opinion.
@@PhillWyattProjects Many thanks Phil. I did wonder if it would bend or distort but there will be two of us so should be fine. Great stuff, ta.
A great help in our build, great to hear a well spoken, and timed description of the work in stages, being hearing impaired that is so appreciated, along with the subtitles, priceless for us.
Glad it was helpful!
The shed came out great , I really look forward to seeing part 2 of you putting up shelves and racks in there , perfect little shed
Thanks Chris yea it does seem like a nice little shed relatively solid. I will be making some racking very soon for it! :D
Thank you for a clear, well-paced video. A great help.
Your welcome 👍🏻
Building the exact same model for my daughter tomorrow, your video has filled me with confidence! Thanks Phill.
Thank you your welcome 👍
Thanks for this video, we built one of these sheds yesterday, it took about three and a half hours which I didn't think was bad for a 71 year old woman and a 63 year old man. Nice shed, looks a lot bigger than we thought it would !!
Thank you 🙂 that's not bad at all. I do like this shed too it's a useful space 👍
Assembling ours this week! Thanks for the video. Looks easy enough.
Your welcome 👍
Excellent and clear video which makes me a lot more confident before I begin building the shed. Thanks.
Thanks I'm glad you are finding it useful 👍🏻
A good, helpful video. Thanks for posting it.
Thanks your welcome
Planning on buying one this week , this is one of the best instructional Keter Darwin videos iv seen ever ,many thanks Phill great job its much apricated .
Cheers Mike glad to help 👍🏻
Hi from Denmark. It doesn’t look too difficult, so I’ll give it a try and assemble it myself. Thanks for a very assuring video, that you can actually assemble it single-handedly. Looks great 🤩
Your welcome. Yea it's not too difficult. A flat level base is probably the most important part to make things go smoothly.
Much appreciated!
Going to have a go on the exact same shed next week.
If it goes that smoothly, I'll be chuffed.
Thanks again!
The weather is good for shed building 👍🏻
@Phill Wyatt Projects trust me, if it rains, it'll be the day I pick! Keep up the great videos pal.
Nice little shed and excellent video. Built mine today with the help of your video. Only thing that might have been useful to mention was the fact the corners aren’t the same size so you have to be careful to follow the instructions and make sure you’re putting them in the right way.
Thanks👍 yea probably should have mentioned that although this video was more about my experience putting it up. Not so much a step by step guide so I missed a few things here and there.
@@PhillWyattProjects no worries I found out before too much damage was done. Nice to see a channel that’s got some different stuff, really enjoying it
@@johnsweekendworkshops4100 thanks I appreciate your comment👍
Hi your Vdo is easy to understand . I feel more confident now. Thanks 🙏
Thanks your welcome 👍🏻
Found this really useful especially the fact about being able to use the window section for the door, thank you.
Your welcome Trina glad you found the video useful.
Mine arrives tomorrow, so very helpful to know what to expect. Electric drill going on charge now.
Thank you, excellent video.
No problem glad to help!
Hi there. As I am planning to get a similar shed, I wanted to see one being assembled. You did a fabulous job of and making it very clear and informative as well as showing how easy it was to assemble :)
Thank you 👍
This was excellent. We are assembling ours next weekend and this helped so much! Thanks
Your welcome 👍🏻
Just had this shed delivered today, come to this video first for assembly. Let's see how it goes
Good luck 🤞
well you made that look easy thanks
Cheers!
I am thinking about purchasing one of these myself. I had ordered a metal shed and it came today all dented up with lots of scratches on it. Looks like I wasn't the first to own it. I've had my fill of the metal sheds, time for something new. Thanks for the video.
Hi, yea I agree with you on that. Metal sheds often get damaged in transit and they are a pain to assemble.
Thanks for taking the bother to do this. Very helpful. Having my delivered lunchtime. Best wishes Bryan
Cheers Bryan your welcome 👍🏻
Got one of these to build tomorrow, thanks for the video, clear and well paced 👍
Thanks your welcome
Looks pretty straightforward Phil. Need to get one of these myself with all the junk I am accumulating 😁👍
Yea they are easy to put up. You spend most of the time just making sure things are properly aligned.
Excellent no fuss video. Thanks.
Thanks Paul👍
Nicely done. I bought one of these sheds and plan to put it together this week. Thank you.
Thanks your welcome 👍🏻
Just bought one of these so appreciate the video
Your welcome.
Very informative and helpful video. Thanks
No problem 👍
Hello my friend.
A beautiful hut for the garden. The assembly of the composite garden shed is successful. A beautiful view in the garden and a hut that will come in handy. Congratulations. See you. I wish you a healthy and beautiful new week. Big greetings...
Thanks very much. Now I just need to get all my stuff into it!

Excellently explained. Again no fuzz no hassle n to th point 🎯 Thanks for that definitely will b subscribing 😊
Thank you! 👍🏻
Brilliant video! I found it really helpful. Thanks a lot 😊
No problem 👍
Thanks for this, I've ordered the 6 x 6 one and am considering doing this myself rather than paying a contractor so this will help in sure
No problem. Always better to do it yourself if possible. That way you know it's been done rite and not rushed.
@@PhillWyattProjects thank you, today is the day, fingers crossed
Very helpful. Thinking of buying this shed .
No problem 👍
Great video mate 👍🏻 Good to find a great UK channel that is relatable- I'm all subbed up 👌🏻
Thanks Simon much appreciated 👍
Thank you for this video 😅 I was praying that someone had produced one as I’m taking delivery of mine tomorrow.
No problem Jeremy your welcome!
A great help. Thanks a million.
No problem 👍
Just seen the video and now starting on my shed!
Thank for such an informative video x
No problem your welcome.
big help! although it took me and my husband about 5 hours to do😝 but to be fair we're like the chuckle brothers when it's comes to anything D.I.Y related 🤣
Thanks! I think it depends what mood your in. Sometimes it takes me ages to put something together. When I'm in the mood for it I'm quite fast.
Thank you from France Phill 👍

Nice one bud!
Just about to build mine.
This will be a great help
No problem Paul 👍🏻
Great video, thank you. Clearly you know your stuff
Thank you very much!
Very good Phil. Thank you
Thanks!
A very well put together video. found it very good as you went through all the stages with clear pictures and explained everything well. just got a 6x6 darwin so i take it will be silmilar
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks Phil thinking about one of these, very helpful, great that you did a one person build; though I think you forgot the door hinges...
Your welcome 👍🏻 I did forget a few things. It's not so much a how to video more of a my experience building the shed video.
Thank you so much for doing this video. We have just bought a Darwin shed and my husband is delighted that he was able to watch you assemble it so thanks.
Your welcome 😃
Good clear video think I’ll purchase one now 👍
Cheers Alan 👍🏻
Great to see this! It will be ideal for storing things from your workshop.
It is very useful. And keeps the rain out.
Brilliant thanks for step by step how to build the Keter 6x4 all that you missed out was which code of screws to use but I sussed that out also mention it can be a fixed to the ground ……… Have you never seen the Wizard from Oz and Dorothy’s house
Well, I actually did a video on how to anchor it to the ground now you mention it. Check it out in my video list 👍
Excellent video, very well explained
Your welcome 👍🏻
Thank you, very helpful
Your welcome Angela
Thanks for the detailed video. Will appreciate if you can advice on bolting long screws in roof and base from outside when you put it next to fence. One side of mine also sits next to fence.
Yea so I pulled the shed out away from the fence to drive in the screws. I then pushed it back into place. It's not very difficult. I pushed one corner then the other gradually.
Thank you for sharing
No problem 👍🏻
This video is for all the people that disregarded the nay-sayers about these sheds, or their parts in particular, being 'flimsy' and trusted the designers! 💛
Yea mine has been up about a year and it's the same as when I bought it. I like them.
Nice straightforward job, bet you liked doing airfix kits as a kid
I did actually I had loads of them. I had forgotten all about those until you mentioned it 😄
What about the screws at the bottom on the side with the fence? You just skipped these as you didn’t have access?
I added them, then pushed the shed against the fence. It's quite easy to push one corner at a time.
@@PhillWyattProjects great thanks!
Well done, good info
Thanks 👍🏻
Great Video. Helped with assembly planning. Put mine up in the volcanic heat this week. I made a 6x4 wooden base with ply and fence posts. Not impressed with the way the roof joins the edges of the apex panels. My garden is quite exposed. I ran a Bead of stixall adhesive /sealant front and back.
Your welcome 👍🏻 yea I know what you mean about the roof although mine has performed just fine without any sealant.
Just built the 8 X 6 today. Took most of the day, but doing it alone and windy with showers. The only criticism is the double doors are pointless and a source of instability. I'd prefer a single door
Thank you
Your welcome 👍🏻
Great video thank you
Thanks your welcome 👍🏻
Very good video
Thanks 👍🏻
Nice little shed. I'm actually outgrowing the "hobbit hole" and might do the same.......... Or maybe build an extension 🤔🤔🤔🤔
If you have a bit of free space it's a good idea keeps the clutter down. I think I will also build a shed extension at some point just for fun 😁
just checked... its not a bad price for that! really simple build too
Yea I like the wood effect it actually looks like wood and they have a decent lock with concealed screws which is good.
@@PhillWyattProjects well its cheaper than wood atm... lol
@@WizsWoodwork that's true. 😯
Love the video thank you so much
Thanks your welcome 👍🏻
My shed will be up against a fence the same as yours, how did you screw the floor to the side panels near the fence ? You didn't show this in the video and it seems impossible as the screws are inserted from the outside !
@@branded01 yea I just screwed them away from the fence then pushed the shed against the fence one corner at a time. It slides quite easily.
Hi , thanks for the video, it showed it was possible to put it up by yourself, and did not require two people as suggested by another video. I want to somehow attached a timber frame to one side to hang rakes, spades and other garden tools. do you think that might be possible?
Thanks Colin. I think it is possible but personally I wouldn't recommend it. The plastic is soft and hollow inside. I have seen it done but I would prefer a freestanding solution.
Hi Phil, Thanks for the detailed video. Question: Did you not think of screwing the whole shed to the ground (paving) in case of strong wind? Thanks
Thanks your welcome. I did anchor it shortly after this video and made a video about how to anchor a shed to it's base check it out here: czcams.com/video/d7gBDY8GkN8/video.html
Great video. Thanks for sharing. Can you tell me the door opening size?
The side of my house would just about fit this with only a few cm either side. Problem is I won't have access to either side due to lack of space. Do you think all the screws could be put in from the inside of the shed? For the base etc? Thanks
Hi, I don't think you can screw them from the inside I would not recommend that. You could assemble it the correct way then shift it into position after. It might take 2 people to move it.
I recently purchased this shed and assembled it on a flat base. However, the shed doesn’t seem to be completely straight. I had issues initially with trying to fit the front upper roof piece, one side would fit really snug but the other wouldn’t. Once I got to the end and put the door on, one side of the door is roughly 1-2cm higher than the other side. It seems like I’m a few CM out somewhere but I can’t work it out. Might have to rebuild from scratch. Any advice would be appreciated!
Hmm the only thing I can think of is that one corner or the base is higher or lower than the rest. When screwing the wall panels together you need to make sure they are correctly lined up. If a few screws are out of alignment it could cause one end to curve up slightly.
Took 2 people 4 and a half hours to build. Good looking shed .
Quick to build and low maintainence. Yea I'm still liking mine 👍
How did you find fixing the roof on the side next to the fence? I am looking to purchase one of these sheds but it will just fit in the gap down the side of the house so it'll be pretty much hard up against the wall of the house and the fence. Looking at your video, which is great btw, it looks easy enough to build everything from the inside other than the long roof screws. I'd be grateful to know how you overcame this before I purchase. Many thanks. Mike
I wondered about the roof panel too as I want to put mine against the fence. Can't see me being able to successfully screw it in place if the shed is up against a fence. How did it get attached ? Great video , very clear instructions.
Thanks! What size is the opening? Can’t find any dimensions online. Wondering if my larger snowblower will fit through the doorway.
Great video, weve just bought one of these, guess what im doing at weekend?!!! 🤣
They go up quite quickly. A good weekend project 😃
@@PhillWyattProjects Hi Phil thanks for your reply 👍👍 ive just got the window and the door to do now, cleared the area, laid the flags, bad light stopped play! but yes its been a pleasure to build 👍👍
Thanks, is a good video...
Thanks 👍
Excellent vid, you made it look a doddle :)
Thanks 👍🏻 it's quite easy to do as long as your working on a nice level base.
Well explained, but can you tell me if there are pilot holes or indicators as to where all the screws go into the panels etc..? Thanks
Hi yes there are little marks.
how did you get behind the shed against the fence to screw the side to the floor
I just shifted the shed one one corner at a time then pushed it back.
How did you manage to screw to the base at the fence side, I've just ordered one and it will be in a similar position
I just shifted the shed a foot out to access the side then pushed it back. No problem.
Thanks for this video. Looks like a fairly easy build. I notice you have it against a fence. I was thinking of putting one in a corner. Were you able to build it against the fence fully or to move the shed to complete the construction then put it back in place?
No problem. I assembled it and then just shifted it over one corner at a time although it was quite easy.
@@PhillWyattProjects Great, thank you for the reply. Much appreciated.
@@CalmBiker your welcome 👍
@@PhillWyattProjects Awesome, I am just about to do the same and hoped it could be easily moved! Nice video mate ...just watched the securing it to the base video too. Much appreciated!
Do you screw the base down to the slabs and how do they cope with bad winds, would the roofs stay on in. Bad storm ?
Yes I anchored the base to the slabs underneath using coach bolts. It's been great for about 16 months now. No problems.
T 15:41 thank you sir
thanks
Hi great, guide, I built one yesterday, but I'm unsure about the window. I'm in UK too and there's a massive black rubber seal in the kit, presumably for the window, but there is no way it will locate this on the inner and outer window frames and there is no mention of this in the instructions or in the included parts list in the manual, but I've seen some videos using self adhesive weather strip to the outer frame but again no mention of this in the manual I don't see you adding any seals or weather strip, doesn't it leak? Appreciate your help.
This is interesting because mine didn't come with the rubber seal or any weather stripping. My window works just fine without it and does not leak. So it might be possible that they changed the design slightly but forgot to leave out the runner strip in some batches.
@@PhillWyattProjects That's good to know, thanks for your reply 👍
I'm almost there. I didn't see you attach the door.😯
It's quite straightforward getting the door on you should be fine with it.
Excellent video... Just ordered one of these, will be up against a fence like yours, how did you screw the side panels into the base with the fence in the way?
Thanks Paul
Thanks 👍🏻 I pulled the shed out from the fence one corner at a time to get the screws in. Then pushed it back.
Yep, I'm getting one of these, so thanks for the excellent video. By the way, you must have had to move the entire structure to get the long screws into the shed on the wall side. How easy and safe is it to move the shed around on a flat day surface? 🤔
Thanks👍 yea I did shift it over to do the fence side. It's quite easy to move I just shifted it a few inches one end then the other. Just enough to get down the side. I just took my time.
@@PhillWyattProjects I spotted that & wonder if it would be possible on a 6 x6 shed I have in mind?
I came to the comments section to answer this question because I'm installing this on the tight side of my house. Will have to build it and push it all the way down the side. Thanks for asking and answering the questions.
Great, cheers mate.
Thanks your welcome 👍🏻
@@PhillWyattProjects just bought same exact one today from b&q and will be installing it in the morning using your guide, hopefully it doesn't rain 😂
Have you fastened the shed base to the paving slabs with any anchors/screws to secure the whole structure against strong wind?
Hi, Yes I have anchored it to the slab base I made a video about it. It's been up 2 years now with no problems you can watch the video here: czcams.com/video/d7gBDY8GkN8/video.html
What a great video!! I want to buy this shed but wanted to know how complicated the assembly is. You made it look really easy👌. I know it will put up a bit of a fight with me, but I'll go for it! Do they supply the 2thousand screws or are the separate???
Thanks 👍🏻 the screws come with it. The main thing is to assemble it on a level base. That way it goes together much easier.
So how did you attach the gutter rail on the side facing the fence as it would have to be moved out in order for you to get to it I presume?????
Yea I assembled it out from the fence then pushed it back one corner at a time.
Great video. I’m planning to buy the Darwin 68, but can I place the shed directly on the ground (grass) or is it necessary to have a solid base?
I recommend a level base.
Hi thanks for vid, im moving but need storage quick in my current house, do you think this can be reassembled in my new house easy enough
I know that they can be reassembled although I've not done it myself. I would keep hold of the instructions and go in reverse to disassemble it.
Thanks for the vid, of the screws into panels are they supplied, and on instructions, or just something you added to beef up?
All the screws were included.
What did you do about not having access to the other side of the shed. Did you push the whole shed out
Yea I pulled it out a couple of feet one corner at a time. Then shuffled it back. It was pretty easy one corner at a time.
Im putting one on a treated wood pallet would you recommend shooting a few screws in the floor to the pallet?
Yes I would add some screws through the floor at the anchor points down into the pallets.
How did you get the long screws into the base at the fence side? (ours will also be near a fence)
I pulled it out a bit one corner at a time then pushed it back
Would anyone be able to tell me how tall the walls are not counting the roof? I don't understand why manufacturers just put the total height including peak of the roof which doesn't help to know what you can get in there. Thanks in advance.
You made it look.extremely easy, funny how you didn't show how you put roof together fully!
I found it easy to put together. I tried to show all the main parts of assembly. There are a few fiddly bits although as long as you assemble it on a level base it's pretty simple to do.
Thank you for this video.
Unfortunately you showed the 4x6 shed, though the title suggested the 6x4.
I know, the both are similar, but the arrangement is different.
Yes I know what you mean. Although even on the Keter website this model is called the 6 x 4. The one with the different arrangement is also called the 6 x 4 on their website. They are both 6 x 4 in dimension.
@@PhillWyattProjects
I think, the length is a first dimension and width is the second by international standard.
On online shops they differentiate the two types.
Great video
I have a question, is it possible to install it on a 4x6 trailer and pull it on my van to install a portable shower and portable toilet and to bring things when camping?
Thanks! I'm not sure about that but there's a first time for everything It could work but I really don't know.
I am having trouble screwing the hinges on the sides. Does it have to do that i need a good electrical screwdriver? Cause it seems that the one i am using doesnt have a lot of power. Great video... took me 5 hours and i havent finished the door cause i cant screw the hinges
