- In this video we’ll be putting together a 4x6 Keter Manor Shed and turning it into an outhouse for our off grid tiny cabin. We would have built our own but lumber prices are still so high and we wanted to keep costs as low as possible.

Your son may be the real star of the show here! He’s so cute helping out in the background
Our little tiny man was the project manager making sure everything is in check! 😂
Brilliant Idea! Adorable lil outhouse!
Thank you! It’s been working out so well for us :)
Great idea
Thank you! it’s a nice alternative since lumber is so expensive.
This is a cool idea. Looks really good too. I have a Keter 6x4 Darwin here in the UK and it's holding up just fine.
Thank you! We’ve been using it all summer and it’s held up really well. We’re super impressed!
That was a great idea . Looks awesome
Thank you, it worked out so well!

I have really enjoyed watching ..We have a large home that we Airbnb . We were thinking of doing a tiny home in the big back yard ..this was just perfect to watch...we wanted to know where you are and what your going rate is..(I know rates change often ,,atleast ours does. ,,just a round about . You guys did awesome..I watched everyone at one sitting. Love from here in South Alabama.
Hey, thanks for watching! We’re testing the waters with the price because it’s off grid but we’re located in the midcoast of Maine and charge $85 a night. We’ll probably charge less in the fall. People seem very interested in unique stays, I’d say go for it! 😊
@@TheDoerDuo If you guys ever come our way our listing is Brewton,Alabama,--Downing Den.We are about 40 minutes or so from Pensacola Beach ,Fl.,,Panama City, Ft. Walton etc.Gulf Shores, Al. is not that far..anyway just thought I would let you know . We would give you a Special Rate ,,3 br. ,large front and back porch etc. Look us up. Seems like you could charge a bit more in the Fall, because; of the changing leaves. Love from her in South Alabama.Hang in there..The Best Is Yet To Come.
That sounds great, I’ll definitely check it out!
That’s a great job. What paint did you use? Any issues with the paint not taking at all?
We just used exterior paint but roughed it up with sandpaper first. A year later and I only had to do a couple small touch ups here and there. The inside paint same deal, just small touch ups so far.
Hi nice work, what base/foundation did you put this shed on?
We just set it on the gravel and put a plywood floor as we planned on moving it inside in the winter but left it out and it still holding up perfectly
What kind of screws you guys use to secure the wood that you add in the floor?
Self tapping screws
Hi, how long did it appoximately take for the initial construction?
It took us about 3 hours to put it up
I just recently bought one. I was wondering if you remember the dimensions for the wood flooring inside the shed.
We measured out a 4x6ft piece of 3/4in thick plywood, placed it underneath and screwed it in and put the stick tile on top.
Do you know if it gets too hot inside in summers?
It gets warm but never hot, the vents help although we do live in Maine so summers are mild here compared to other places.
1/2 in flooring (2 in screws?)
3/4 in flooring and we used whatever screws we had but it seems to be holding up just perfectly.
How do you lock it from the inside?
Yes there is a hook on the inside to keep it shut
Would it be possible to add a tiny sink ?
Unfortunately there isn’t any space inside but we could add a manual pump sink on the outside.
love the idea! How tall is your husband?
Thank you! He’s 5’7”
Awesome..looks great .link to toilet
