  • In this video we’ll be putting together a 4x6 Keter Manor Shed and turning it into an outhouse for our off grid tiny cabin. We would have built our own but lumber prices are still so high and we wanted to keep costs as low as possible.

    We are total amateurs but we’re learning as we go to have a more sustainable, self sufficient lifestyle.
    Thank you for following along on this journey with us. We're looking forward to future videos building an outdoor kitchen and a full tour of the tiny cabin so stay tuned!

    This is a cool idea. Looks really good too. I have a Keter 6x4 Darwin here in the UK and it's holding up just fine.

    I have really enjoyed watching ..We have a large home that we Airbnb . We were thinking of doing a tiny home in the big back yard ..this was just perfect to watch...we wanted to know where you are and what your going rate is..(I know rates change often ,,atleast ours does. ,,just a round about . You guys did awesome..I watched everyone at one sitting. Love from here in South Alabama.

      Hey, thanks for watching! We’re testing the waters with the price because it’s off grid but we’re located in the midcoast of Maine and charge $85 a night. We’ll probably charge less in the fall. People seem very interested in unique stays, I’d say go for it! 😊

Walton etc.Gulf Shores, Al. is not that far..anyway just thought I would let you know . We would give you a Special Rate ,,3 br. ,large front and back porch etc. Look us up. That’s a great job. What paint did you use? Any issues with the paint not taking at all?

    • @TheDoerDuo
      @TheDoerDuo  Před rokem

      We just used exterior paint but roughed it up with sandpaper first. A year later and I only had to do a couple small touch ups here and there. The inside paint same deal, just small touch ups so far.

    Hi nice work, what base/foundation did you put this shed on?

    • @TheDoerDuo
      @TheDoerDuo  Před rokem

      We just set it on the gravel and put a plywood floor as we planned on moving it inside in the winter but left it out and it still holding up perfectly

    • @TheDoerDuo

    I just recently bought one. I was wondering if you remember the dimensions for the wood flooring inside the shed.

    • @TheDoerDuo
      @TheDoerDuo  Před 10 měsíci

      We measured out a 4x6ft piece of 3/4in thick plywood, placed it underneath and screwed it in and put the stick tile on top.

    Do you know if it gets too hot inside in summers?

    • @TheDoerDuo
      @TheDoerDuo  Před rokem +1

      It gets warm but never hot, the vents help although we do live in Maine so summers are mild here compared to other places.

  • @rj5403

    1/2 in flooring (2 in screws?)

    • @TheDoerDuo
      @TheDoerDuo  Před rokem

      3/4 in flooring and we used whatever screws we had but it seems to be holding up just perfectly.

    Would it be possible to add a tiny sink ?

    • @TheDoerDuo
      @TheDoerDuo  Před 8 měsíci +1

      Unfortunately there isn’t any space inside but we could add a manual pump sink on the outside.
