Great idea! Don't forget to put a stick and a few rocks in, just in case a small mammal falls in it and can get out and doesn't die and sit in the water. You definitely don't want that.

what about stagnant water and mosquitos & /larva
Mature bucks prefer these stagnant water holes especially during the rut when it’s cold! They can’t hear of something’s approaching them if they’re by a river or creek. They get most and I mean like 85 percent of theirs water from the greenery they eat.

This was hilarious and at the same time kinda sad I wonder if he actually does this or was just bored.
What's wrong with it? Deer need water, and not every property has a stream, river, or pond on it. The idea is to keep the deer on your property.
