I agree. I use anything that helps, assists, and facilitate my 1. Short-term memory, and 2. lessens my anxiety about my symptoms.

You've mentioned the importance of thinking in previous videos, but this time it sank in for me how important it is to understand that I have challenges/impairments when it comes to the very act of thinking, at least certain kinds of thinking. Recently I noticed I've been doing a little better at thinking things through, like, "What's really going with my current EF struggle, and knowing myself, how can I deal with it better?" Thanks for helping me feel like I'm on the right track.

Block time schedule has been that silver bullet for me for making sure I get everything I need to get done done. It doesn’t help in all areas for me but I do get some peace in knowing everything is on my calendar. I agree about thinking every Sunday I spend 1-2 hours thinking of how to set up my blocks and then I’m good all week I just go back to my blocks.

Great post! Love the lived experience... spending 1-2 hours thinking... most don't realize the need for thinking or the fact it is time consuming.
      thanks for tuning in.

it reminded myself when i was trying to be positive about my adhd and tried to use neuroplasticity to take care of it :d and in the end my adhd symptoms even got worse bcz of my unrealistic expectation towards change so ye i agree that we should have realistic approach and expactations while using some startegies and know that it wont cure it and to accept it

I didn't quite get what I was looking for from this video, - do you mean that breaking down (simplifying) tasks is not useful? For sure, living life on easy mode (simple mode) and doing only easy taks is not going to make life simpler/or easier, I get that for sure.

The point of the video is two fold... Technology isn't always the answer. Often it makes things worse. Second, you should make things simple but not simpliar than they are. Put differently ADHD is a challenge. Many prescribe simple fixes. If such fixes worked there wouldn't be so much out there.
      hope that helps.

@@AttentionTalkVideo Thanks for clarification. Since the adhd related issues are complex and difficult, this video too can't provide a simple and easy solution, because such doesn't exist. Due to that, everyone should seek what works best for them personally. That's my takeaway now.
