    Every 1cm of slack = g x 3!!!!! Bugger me sideways! I suppose it gives your body time to increase it's relative velocity with the airframe. And seeing as that's what you're going to hit, that's important!
    It's time for rear facing seats like the RAF use in their transports.
    Or shoulder straps at the very least! Lap straps are an overhang from the American car safety lobby. It's all yanks would wear! That's why we get folded in half at 26g... Thanks Americans!

    As much as the advice on the video is standard Id still grab my travelling bag full of clothes and put it between my head and the seat in front. Plus anything else soft I can find quick such as a coat etc. Mini air bag to slow the decelaration down

    Easy: I just get out of my seat and jump as high as I can right before the impact.
    And after the plane has come to rest, I make sure to take my carry on bag with me, because it contains everything I need to survive in the wilderness, like my phone charger, a pack of mints and my travel pillow!
