Hello!! I dont suggest to put your fertilizers in right after the water change. Because the aqua chlorine (like Prime) have stuff in it that takes away all heavy metal products. And almost all fertilizers have heavy metal in it. But anyway, thanks for this great video!!

SevernRunAquatics I've read that if you add little by little your jungle Val won't melt.so don't add the recommendation douse. Start off slowly and by the week add little by little.
Excel similar to ADI co2 booster does the same thing to plants.. reason being that the chemical in it kills alge.. or single cells similar to what's in val, java moss and java fern.. keep to the low dose and they'll get use to it and come back.

Artoo not excel i wouldn't after water change but the flourish is ok after a water change. That's what seachem message boards said.

Seachem is very good. I use Potassium and Flourish Comprehensive
Never had any issues with Excel and my Red Cherry shrimp. I did make the mistake in spot treating against algae on my riccia.

Is it really necessary to use these plant nutrients in a low tech planted aquarium with plants like Java moss, Anubis, Amazon swords?

Um, you dont need to run CO2 and be dousing Excel.
you don't need to... but better results if you do.
