It looks like the weights are going to hit the bottom of the derby opening during high rpms. They're touching now with no spinning.

A spacer plate is included for 1998-06 models. It is not required for 2007-17 models.

I’m trying to install this on my 07 FLHX and I can tell you it definitely hits the Primary cover. Stock Primary cover and before someone asks it’s hitting the Primary not the Derby cover. Also that’s without power, just sitting there on the stand still..

What spring set goes with what HP motor on a harley davidson ?

There really isn't a specific HP rating for each set of springs. The idea is to use the softest set of springs without slippage. Being there are three sets of springs, there are multiple pressure options as three and three can be used from any two sets of springs. We generally recommend starting with the light springs and if that is not enough, go to the medium set.

Considering the prices we pay for a new H-D, the real question is why doesn't this come stock from the factory?

Tell me about it. This can be said with 90% of oem parts from HD (shocks, exhaust, brake components, etc.)

@@christaylor4266 I have a 1991 harley solftail springer. My clutch has a spring plate on the face with a C clip .do they make one for my bike?

John Barlow the lock up spring conversion in this video fits 98-17 big twins. For ‘91 BT, the only lock up available is the Scorpion. The Scorpion Lock up which is Barnett’s top of the line clutch. If you can afford it, you won’t have worry about your clutch again. Another very popular option is going with a Barnett extra plate kit to increase your capacity a bit. You can use it with a stock type replacement diaphragm spring or you can use their heavy duty spring but it will make for a stiffer lever pull. If you don’t care about that, go with the HD spring. With the Scorpion lock up however, lever effort is kept to a minimum while clutch capacity is greatly increased which is the most ideal set up.

John Barlow the Barnett EP kit does away with that troublesome stock double spring plate. You can go to www.Barnettclutches.com, click on “find products for your bike”, then after selecting HD, choose “clutches” and then your year and it will give you a list of all that is available for your bike.
