At about 1.30am, a vessel crashed into the bridge, catching fire before sinking and causing multiple vehicles to fall into the water below, according to a video posted on X. “All lanes closed both directions for incident on I-695 Key Bridge. Traffic is being detoured,” the Maryland Transportation Authority posted on X. The Baltimore mayor, Brandon M Scott, and and the county executive, Johnny Olszewski Jr, said emergency personnel were at the scene and rescue efforts were under way.

In a movie, the bridge would take about 5 minutes until it collapses after the crash. In real life, it took less than 5 seconds. It is devastating how fast your fate is decided when you are at the wrong place at the wrong time.

A bridge as massive as the red bridge from San Francisco could take alot damage, until it collapses.

    For some context:
    - Baltimore is the 8th busiest port in America. This will close it for months. All shipping in and out is done.
    - The span is 4 lanes, and a mile long. The abutting structure is even longer. Even at a late hour, it is safe to assume dozens of vehicles were on the bridge.
    - I-695 is essentially the "Baltimore beltway" - it's designed to allow traffic to skirt the main highway tunnels closer to the city.

This was a strategic AI attack meant to cause hysteria during one of the most important election years of the 21st century 2024. Think about it. This ship suddenly lost power moments before it crashed into the bridge? Who else would have the exact coordinates of this ship? Who or what has access to power grids to manipulate its use? This was a test to see how conditioned humans actually are. We must question everything. We can no longer rely on our five senses to help us distinguish what is reality. We must rely on the sixth as well. That guy intuitive feeling that ignites us all to ask questions. Our bodies recognize truth before our minds. As humans we must lean into that more in this new era of AI. Our civilization is not safe. Question everything

How? By losing power from the engines. Like any other form of transport, they can break down. The fact all the lights went off a couple of minutes before the collision, it looks like they didn't lose their engines, but all electricity to the ship. It then came back on, but they would have been without engines power at that point as it takes a while to get all the systems back up and running. It would then just been at the mercy of the tide/wind etc My dad was 2nd engineer in the merchant navy and was in the engines room for their voyages. You'd be surprised what can go wrong on a ship. If you lose your engines in a storm/high seas, you're f****d!

I don't live anywhere near Baltimore, have never been near it. I was just wondering how big of an impact this will now have on the city on a daily basis? Is this going to make getting to work, driving around town in Baltimore a huge pain the neck until they get another bridge built? Is this going to make Baltimore traffic exponentially worse during the day, especially during rush hour times?
