LEGO Star Wars UCS X-Wing Starfighter is the 3rd Ultimate Collectors Series Xwing to release, once in 2000 and once in 2013. The set includes a special version of Luke Skywalker and almost 2000 pieces. It took about 3 hours to build and includes 10 unique bags. The model is about 22 inches long and looks great on any Star Wars fan's shelf.

I like the honest open review and the bag by bag review is great as well. Keep up the good work. As for the rubber bands, just like all of the other models in the past, if you leave them in a stretched position, they will dry out and break. I take mine out of the models or dont put them in, leave the wings closed for display.

Great Review. Love the comparisons to the other models. I really like that mechanism for the foils. I agree that I'd be concerned about longevity with it, although my concern comes from the clicking of the parts. Can't wait to see the designer interview :D

I would try displaying the set sideways like you tried, but turn the stand around so the plaque is facing the wall. Then the top of the x-wing will be angled out. I feel like that would be the best viewing angle.
I thought about that later too. I wonder if the mechanism would hold at an angle for a long time. 🤔

Def an iconic lego set. I know you mentioned it has a couple week connection but do you think it can be hung up to the ceiling? Was there a quick eject r2d2 effect? And one perk of the panels being easy to take off is in a moc you can easily have this in a being repaired state :) great review
I think it actually would hold well with string or something but it would have to go under the hull in spots.

Great review. I ordered day one as I don't have any other X-Wings. Great deal with promos plus I had just over 18,000 VIP points so got a very hefty discount. As I said, great knowledgeable review!

Great review. Some reviews sayd that it was almost impossible to build because of the side panels keep falling of and it was kinda flimsy. But looking at this video it isnt that bad. Looks to my the only panels that can fall off are the engine side panels. Looks awesome

I think I went a little overboard, because I ended up with 6 Midi Scale Death Star II's from online orders. Now to wait & see if all 6 show up & in what condition.

Can't wait to grab this. I have the '98 and 2000 version although my 2000 version came in a beat up box that was trampled at ToysRUs back in the day so it's missing a ton of bags. Still trying to scour the internet for replacement pieces

It's hard to say but based off the size of the cockpit I would have to say it is very similar!

The issue with the two pieces popping off when the model goes on the stand or weight is applied is acknowledged by lego and a fix is being worked on. Heard that in another build/review video

I think at $200 it would be worth it for me. My biggest problem would be I don’t know where I would display it, especially if I but it on a lower shelf, in which I agree with you.
Ohh the new beast is out. Same was saying the frunt is a little to phat. But I think the build is okay just looks as good as the last one.

I only got the last bag to finish, but the wings don’t lock in place for me, do I need to finish it or did I mess it up?
thanks for the video. I dont think I will buy this set. Maybe I'm just too picky, but I think the hull/fuselage is too long or the wings are too small. In addition the model is too flimsy.

I think the 2021 is the best playscale one. Controversial, maybe, but two aspects really make it - the new nose design is imo much more accurate and proportional, and the laser cannons which are much longer than in 2018 version. Not to mention much more reasonable price.
Number one reason the 2013 model is superior: the wings don't sag! The new X-Wing has an Achilles heal, and that is the sagging wings.

@@MrSaurusOfficial will do I've only just got into Lego star wars to he fair I've built the Luke and Darth Vader helmets and I'm definitely getting the new xwing because I missed out on the previous...but the direction I'm going in is basically the original UCS trilogy ships and vehicles and helmets which is going to get expensive but also part of the fun tracking down the likes of a Y wing and B wing and so on also not interested in sequels or prequels or mini figures to be honest...
Its my girls fault for getting me the awesome Lego Optimus prime 🤦.
