I bought this gun in .25 cal and am super happy with it in semi-auto and does upward of 900fps. This is now my backpack gun; I just unscrew the moderator and it fits right in and out of sight. Yes, you got it right - AEA is catering to what the public wants and delivering it. This cannot be bad for the buyer.

The longer barrel making more power is true, to a point of diminishing returns. At a certain point the friction of projectile to lands and grooves begins to overwhelm the extra push gained. I have the same in 25 and pretty much use only slugs, 53 grain non hollow point can hit a soda can size at 80 yard all day long. I have played around with just about every size spring in it, except the sear. (OK I played with that too but returned to the original for reasons)

They update the trigger force on new HP and new terminator.
AEA make change with market feedback very quickly. If you keep measuring the velocity , you will find that although there is no regulator, the velocity is very stable. About four magazines have not big change

You're spot on, on what they need to change, in my opinion. 1) regulated so as to take advantage of the fill capacity of the tank(s). 2)larger breech to accommodate a deeper magazine capable of holding a .900 slug (at least in their B&W S45/50's) to allow for the the Lehigh Defense premier Airgun game getters! 3) drop the 7mm needle refill, and adopt the HPA industry standard "Foster" fill nipple! 😉

The one thing that sticks out to me in this video, is the finger dumbbell. I don’t know why, but man that had me laughing out loud!!👍
Like when you test the terminator, I think the magazine affects the accuracy. When you remove magazine.you will find the accuracy is very good. So it has nothing to do with the regulator.
This is an effective test because you change to the hand reload , Its still a gun without regulator. If the accuracy is good, it's not a problem without regulator. It's a problem with magazines.

@@WillRomansAirgunworld if you get better accuracy towards the last few of the clip, it's likely the spring in the clip isn't able to overcome the mass of 9 or so pellets and doesn't present the next one in time. As it's pushed into the breach it gets deformed by hitting the side of either clip, breach or both. Some clips can be wound up one more turn, I have modded vhs tape door springs to fit but I had been a broadcast engineer and had some nice leftover parts. Try locktite the hub screw a bit before it bottoms out to keep the center loose, after tightening the spring. (If a full turn is too much, make another hole 180 from original to mount the spring, you'll see when in there)

Have u seen anyone do this ? Was looking at picking up the gun if that would be possible. Looks like the huma regulator would fit right on it.
@@kturbo504 as I have a lot of acreage, I use mine off vehicles a lot. So I carry 4500 psi large scuba tanks to fill. Of course regulated. At the range I will go straight from the tank and that one is 6k and very large.
My assassin shoots all over the place speed wise. At 3200 fill the speeds range from 715-585 fps on most 9 shot mags. I'm taking it to the range next week to sight it in then I'll post again.
Thank you Larry for the comment brother....got a tip for you... if your accuracy is not good at 30 to 40 yards remove your factory LDC OFF and remove all the baffling out of the LDC then put your LDC back on and try your targets at 30 or 40 ....and clean your barrel good...you should have nice looking group's.... hope this helps!!👍👍🇺🇸

Also do a trigger job to that gun I bought my spring assortment at Harbor Freight and then just experimented with all the different Springs until I find what I liked a nice polish on the trigger and Sear helps also
Great review bud. I picked up the carbine in .25 not too long ago, added the carbon fiber bottle and a DonnyFL moderator and it has shot great out to 60 yards so far, over 1000 pellets and no hiccups. Only issue I had was it trying to cycle slugs, they weren’t seating all the way and getting damaged, no issues with pellets though. I just ordered the HP SS in .25 and should be here this week. Great guns

Only thing I wish they would do that they said was going to be available is barrel kits, my gun has the 24 " barrel which is great super accurate 100 yards no prob, but if your in tight woods or varmints In barns it's a little much, I'd love a 16" barrel and even better would be the ability to switch calibers , a 16 in .30 or 35 would be awesome

No dis but this platform isn’t putting out the energy I expected to be honest. I expected 800+ FPS. Damn even my .25 cal LCS is putting out 70 FPE and I don’t even have it 1/5th of the way turned up. I do however love this platform. That folding stock is perfect. So compact!

If I was to guess the problem with these air guns is the semi auto part and the magazine the timing in Wich it hit the pellet out is probably off and hit it slightly wrong every one try to say it's the magazine but if you single load it you also take the semi auto out of it. You probably can regulate easy if the tank is 18 1.5 they sell a reg that will go in line with the air rifle and tank. if they would have put paintball tank threads on the air rifle side Wich it doesn't have it could of been extremely adjustable regulated that would of been sick 👍👌✌️💯🎯🥂🇺🇸

I’m way to much of an accuracy snob for this gun. If I can’t make Consistent head shots on birds/squirrels I’m out. Powder or air doesn’t matter. Gotta have that accuracy. But it’s a neat gun. Think I’m going to by the new sk19 in .30 🍻

Great review, one thing I disagree with though is the benchrest comment, saying you would have to go to a different platform, I have a aea HP varmint with the 24-inch Barrel , I have polished the trigger and The Sear also with some experimenting I found some lighter trigger Springs and although of course it is still single stage trigger it breaks Crisp and true every single time, I have also upgraded to 500cc carbon fiber bottle ended up dropping one pound off of the gun and gave me the ability to fill to 4500 PSI with that I needed a regulator so I went with a Huma and I have it set right now at 160 bar ( 2320) psi , so that gave me the consistency of the same amount of air with every shot, I have also added a extended Magpul buffer tube and Magpul stock, while I was at it I eliminated the folder section as it had a little bit of Wiggle to it and that is not good for accuracy of course, and it has a 24-inch Barrel so it's not like folding that stock is going to make that much of a difference, saber tactical bottle clamp , Atlas bipod, and then topped off the gun with a Vortex scope ,after a lot of trial and error I found the jsb King heavy Mark 2
33.95 is the pellet that this gun loves, at 50 yards if I do my job I'm seeing 3/8 groups, that's pretty damn accurate with a 25 caliber pellet,The more I shoot and practice with this gun the more accurate I am getting , I've had it almost two years and I'm really glad I took a chance on a AEA, but getting more to my point I would definitely go up against FX brocock air arms Edgun in a amateur bench press competition anytime, an accurate gun is an accurate gun no matter who makes it

I really like my AEA HP 25 cal Carbine with the 12" barrel, it's well broken in now and doing from 50-60fpe with my cast 34.5 grain NOE pellets. I've bagged quite a few red squirrels with it now and I'll be out with it this morning soon !!! AEA has some great guns for sure, I've also got the standard Challenger 357 that I'll be hunting deer with this year.

@@bertbccfu9564 Bert I also have the Challenger LS .22 caliber, now talking about a beast of a .22 I'm getting 70fpe shooting my 24.4 grain cast slugs with that gun and it's extremely accurate to boot, super flat shooting too. I shot a starling with it at close to 100yards, that shot simply amazed me, yep AEA definitely builds some fantastic stuff for sure.

LCS, EDGUN, SIG, KALIBURGUN, HUBEN are all semiauto and regulated air rifles with fantastic triggers and a hefty price tag.$$
Hatsans are not regulated.
Fx definitely not. Never. An old semi auto FX was used to kill a police officer some yeara ago. They abandonded the technology forever.

So... from what I've read and seen on youtube, this HP assassin generates the same or very similar FPE as in .25 caliber.

I purchased one of those month or so ago and like the gun but wish it had some more power. I also have my first gun was Air Force Texan SS 45 caliber. So I was hoping around somewhere around high 900 ft per second into the 1,000 ft per second. I purchased this to go coyote hunting was needing around 100-150 foot pounds. Is there a longer 30 caliber barrel available and maybe heavier hammer spring to bring that power up?

Ive got the hp varmint .25 with the 24" barrel , ive upgraded to a 500 cc carbon fiber bottle, Huma regulator , magpul buffer tube , magpul moe stock and a 10-40x56
Target sports tactical scope , just this afternoon i was shooting at 75 yards at my buddys house , i wish you could post pics here 5 shot groups no bigger than a nickle ,to say im happy with this gun is an understatement ,
My personal record shot with it is range finder verified 108 yard head shot on a european starling, these guns have a built-in moderator suppressor so they are relatively quiet to begin with but you can also purchase an adapter to screw on any aftermarket suppressor, I use it without the extra suppressor in my backyard and I would say it is definitely backyard friendly

Prairie dogs are about that size. .30 cal is alot of gun for that size. I just bought a Hatsan Invader in .25 cal a semi auto and haven't had issue yet. Haven't made any chromo's myself but I seen others vids of them and think there's some consistency per fill. I'm gonna do a accuracy test with it and see if I could get them headshots. They sent a pack of a hundred with it so i got to shot 'em. But cool vid watched every minute. -951

Whats up Dee.... yeah the trigger is not light enough for me to use or as accurate as I would like it...but it can be done.. there is no adjustability on this AEA trigger and its like 2 pounds so if your good with heavier triggers it might work for you my brother...the side lever AEA guns have nice triggers.... semi-auto not so much...but they are not bad guns at all Dee.👍👍🇺🇸

I believe airgun are legal to own in most parts of the United States...but you still have gun free zones like NYC Chicago areas that even airguns are not allowed 🚫 you have to look into the law of your state your in before buying a high power air rifle....hope this helps.

Go through the muzzle end into the breach side and clean as normal...you will be gust fine my brother...the only pain in the butt is you will have to hold your cocking lever back yourself or i uses a zip tie to help me..good luck my friend! 👍👍🇺🇸

@@brocwavra8813 sorry about that you will have to remove the shroud in order to clean the barrel...but thats it...clean the barrel and put the shroud back on and you will be back in business.
Hey this gun is great but It wont de cock by holding the bolt open pulling trigger and gently letting closed the bolt ? I have to hold the bolt closed and shoot it to de cock it. Is that normal for this gun? other wise it cycles fine shooting 48.8 grain pellets more fun than a barrel of monkeys. Oh and the safety doesn't engage unless the gun is cocked, is that normal? SIG Shooter has a Trigger clean up and safety adjust video but that's for the older version HP. Just looking for advise from any one whos done a trigger job thanks

Did you say you put the pressure up to 3300 psi? I saw on the specs of the gun say working pressure 1700-2600 psi.. I heard if it is higher or lower than this the gun will not cycle ? Is this the case ? ]
Yes you are correct max fill will be 2600 psi... and low pressure will be 1700 to 1600 psi...but definitely never over fill the gun...and never fill fast...nice and slow to prevent O-rings from wear and teat.

Good video brother, much respect on your reviews cuz I know is for real and not Fluff like others. Anyway, I have been looking at AEA for a while. They look like a good air rifle company definitely stands behind their product, but I just don't think the accuracy is there yet. Probably when they come out with models with regulators the accuracy will improve A lot. In the future, I probably will get one just not this generation yet. Good seeing you making videos again.

Add a huma reg like I did and the accuracy gets right up to the high-end guns friends of mine shoot my varmint and they cannot believe how accurate that gun is
Quick questions. I received my 30 cal AEA Carbine yesterday. Its a beast and shooting through two plys of wood, and a metal sheet. Too loud for back yard for sure so I was going to do a Donny FL Suppressor. I noticed up three quarter the way up barrel there is a connecting point for the shroud or is this a suppressor too? If I add a suppressor, do I need to take off the shroud or can I just put it onto the end using the Donny adapter? Also do you have a recommendation on what Donny to use with this gun? Thanks
