Me and my dad just drove around 600 miles to get a 1988 GMC Suburban Sierra Classic and is very clean although has some scabbby bits here and there but nothing too serious. Pretty much the same as the one shown in the video and we are already loving it as our going to town rig now. We live in the UK so they are even more rare round here. Thanks for the showing us that beautiful truck. 👍
Ill trade my house, shop, tools, 82 sierra classic, dog, two cats and my wife for that rig. If thats not enough i would throw in my soul. Damn thats a nice one.
I just picked up a 1990 suburban silverado 2500 has 152k on it, th400 truck interestingly enough, interior is super close to as nice as in yours, gray interior, paint isn't bad, has just a little paint peeling here and there, mostly just the roof and hood. Rest of the clear coat is still good, silver with gray down the middle. Bard doors, rear a/c 3rd row seating, so far its awesome. I traded a 1999 4runner sr5 for it yesterday
It was apparently mostly garage kept which is why I'm sure the paint is still 80% still in good condition. Oh and it doesn't have a dent on it. Nowhere
What was considered to be "fully loaded options" for 1985, is today a basic level entry level vehicle. In fact a vehicle made today without fully loaded options of 1980s, is considered to be incomplete vehicle, and it is sent back to assembly line to make sure it I loaded, fully, to be sold as complete base level vehicle.
And your not looking at the whole picture. Some of this has to do with the trim on the truck. The body side mouldings, the hood emblem ( only top end models came with it ) power windows ( you can still buy a base model car today with crank windows)
You make a good point. I also noticed that Toyota, a reputable brand, that is known to offer more features and comforts on cars sold as base model. Yet Toyota in countries like India, Latin America, and Africa, they sell Toyota with brake drums, no abs, carburetors, and manual transmission
I am rastourating my 84 suburban and i want to paint it te same color as yours. Do you know te color codes? I have bin looking voor a wile now, but i cant find it.
My mom had one of these brand new back in 1986. I remember going all over in that thing. Thanks for the nostalgia, friend.

I saw Ray Krebbs driving one of these season 11 on Dallas, and I didn't know the Suburban was once under GMC
She's so beautiful 😮
It's just AMAZING
Are you considering selling it? If yes I’ll be happy to buy it since I do collect squarebody suburbans.. enjoy this beauty

Rear a/c is not a standard feature on a brand new suburban
