    100% Agree. Although it's definitely more than what just about any trail rider will need, this sled seems to be great all around and the slight upcharge looks to be totally worth it. And, for the type of riding we usually do here in the U.P. and northern Michigan area, I'm pretty convinced this should be my next sled. Hopefully I can snow check one in time. Thanks as always for the great top to bottom perspective.

    Thanks Snowtrax another great video. I own a 21 renegade xrs 850. Love the sled. These XCR from polaris are great sleds also. Never been on one. But rode an assualt 850 in the axys chassis. That thing rocks. On and off trail. Smooth power but pull and the skis are up!! Off trail you can lay it on its side. Polaris has done an amazing job making the ridged chassis work. It makes average guys look good off trail. Thanks for all your great inputs on all brands 👍

    I honestly think it’s insane how something that already seems perfect can still be improved on. What are the new improvements that are going to be on next year’s sleds? To me, it looks that you can’t make it better than it already is. What’s the next generation sled going to look like.
    It’s awesome that these Motorsport companies are striving for improvement

    Good review. Like you, I’m an ex racer, over 40 & although I like to think I’m as fast as I used to be…a few broken bones & age have slowed me down. Unless it’s a high speed shot down a logging road or across a lake. I’ve never owned a Pol (owned everything else) but am interested in a XCR or VR1. My only gripe with Pol has been the application of a lot of plastic where maybe higher quality materials could substitute. Anyway, what is the difference in risers between the 2 models? XCR is a taller riser? And, seats. Same or different. A 136” x 1.6” Cobra sounds awesome. Thx.

    Not one comment on how the rear suspension is like riding mashed potato’s out of the box? Even with the high and low speed clickers all the way in you can bottom the front arm shock super easy, and the rear torsions are too soft for an XCR type rider. I own a 22 XCR 650 128. And it’s a nice sled but I’m disappointed in the rear suspension for what all the hype is 🤷🏻‍♂️. Can be fixed with valving and springs.

    • @switchback8746
      @switchback8746 Před 2 lety

      People don’t like to hear the truth but you’re exactly right. The rear ended on the XCR is a joke. I’m 190 lbs and ride very aggressive and the stock set up bottoms on almost every medium to large sized bump no matter what I do with the torsion springs or compression.
