  • The Glock 43x, the Glock 43, and the Glock 26 are the smallest 9mm pistols that Glock manufactures. We put them side by side at the bench and at the range to see how they differ.

I was checking out your video because I saw the 43x at the range today, and I really liked it. I was also looking at a 26, but I liked the way the 43x felt better. This video helped me, thanks.

Have a 19 and a 26. Love both. Looked at the 43 and 43x as I want to stay 9mm but want small as possible for summer pocket carry. Going with the 43 which I have lined up to purchase in a few days. Can't wait to test fire and finally pocket cc a Glock.

I experienced the same painful trigger pinch on my G27 Gen 3, until I swapped in an aftermarket 9MM barrel. With the 9MM barrel, a 50 round training session is fine.
(part #s for the extractor and recoil spring assembly between the 26 & 27 are the same, so no other change is needed.)

Excellent review and it helps me in my decision of whether to sell my 43 for the 43X or mortgage the house to have both. FYI, the G26 pinky pinch is a real thing, for certain hands, and there is a mag extension that solves it called mecgear I think. There are some CZcams vids on it if you’re interested.

G26 for the win. Like anything, enough practice and the unnatural feels natural. Not all Glock triggers are created equal. Even with the same model. Try a few 26s and pick "the one" before you buy. Being able to use higher cap mags is huge.

Hello David and Elizabeth. Loved your comment the most. In the police department they trained us with the 19 and the factory trigger pull. Then our Department merged with another and they put a 12 pound trigger pull. We ALL did worst when qualifying after that. So as you said unnatural starts feeling natural after a while. Took years for some of us to adjust to the extra pressure. Btw hope you're enjoying a covid free healthy summer. Be well.

I have the 43 for deeper concealment and a 26 gen 5 for regular carry. These 2 give me flexibility in concealment and capacity. The 43x you are stuck with that grip length. The upside is that the 43x and 48 give us more options which is a good thing. I wonder how your comparisson between 26 and 43x might have changed if you used a G26 gen 5 instead of a gen 4. The trigger on my 26 g5 is actually very good. Thanks for the video and cheers!

Dude, don’t complain about triggers hurting your fingers if you’re shooting in 20 degree weather with NO GLOVES. Seriously, that’s just dumb. Don’t complain if you’re the problem of the pain.

I bought a G19 as my first pistol and have loved it! However, with my body frame, it doesn't conceal well for me in shorts and a t-shirt so I got the G43 with mag extensions. I will definitely still carry the 19 in the colder months with a jacket and hoody, but no point in getting a 43X when its basically a slim 19.

You won't feel none of that stuff when you are shooting under pressure. I took a little bit of trigger guard out of the inside, and it does help with the finger problem. Yeah I worked and worked on my 19 trigger until I had it where I wanted it and a few months later I stuck a factory one back in and shot it way better.😎

Man my Department switched out our trigger spring to a 12 pound pull after YEARS of the lighter factory one. We all hated it at first. But 400 rounds twice a year to qualify makes one get used to it real quick lol. A lot of swollen and bleeding hands.

Been carrying the G26 for yrs. Recently bought the 43x mos and after a few range visits, I found that for me personally, I just didnt like 43x as much as my 26. My 26 just seemed to be less snappy which allowed better shot placement. G43x will probably just be a range gun. I dont trust it as my everyday carry. Yes its narrow. Yes its light. But the 26 is a fighting/combat handgun, just like its big brother, the g19.

43 is more versatile in our opinion and won't print as bad in summer atire with the shorter grip. You can always add mag extensions or use longer aftermarket mags with the 43 if you want greater capacity. 43X and you're stuck with a grip as long as the G19. Just our 2 cents

You and others seem suprised a short barreled 9mm i snappy. It is the nature of the beast. I have several compacts and the smallest is snappy and the largest handles better. It is all in the physics. The bitey trigger varies from Glock to Glock, but does happen on many. Luckily I have a 19 that is nice. My 43 is not so gentle, though acceptable.

1st thing I do to a Glock is sand the safety dingus flush with sandpaper. Then under cut the trigger guard. 100% better, cost nothing.

G26 for colder months and G43 for warmer months. The 43x and g48 are useless. It is the grip length. Same length as the G19. If I wanted to carry that long of a grip length I would choose the G19....15 plus 1 vs 10 plus 1. 43x and G48 has no home or purpose. Blunder on Glock for these two. Seems like they panicked on these two. And get rid of the finger extensions. Unless you can get an extra round in it get if off of there. Learn to shot with base plates, That is what the g26 and g43 were made for. To conceal carry. Oh, your ouch would go away if you hadnt of put on that cheap aftermarket extension. Just get if off of those two other glocks. If you cant just turn in your man card.
