- ~ I wrote this song about the different views musicians or songwriters have. It was inspired by the attitude I’ve come across of a few singers, and a few musicians I’ve come across lately. It seems very much like it’s more about themselves than for the love of music. Telling people their music is “taking off”, and how they’re gonna be the next big thing. Putting on a complete “performance” on social media like they are so cool lol. And then, there’s the rest of us, who just play for the live of the music. It’s simple. We’re simple. Our hearts and souls live in the music, and we just share it humbly to the people who feel like listening. No strings attached. Not trying to be somebody we’re not.
