The Virtues Golf Course, located in Nashport, Ohio, is a captivating golfing destination that has garnered acclaim for its combination of natural beauty and challenging design. Designed by one of my favorite underrecognized golf architects Arthur Hills, The Virtues is a great golf experience beginning to end. As evidence of how much I love this course, I drove two hours from Dayton, Ohio to play it again on a very windy and rainy day and it was very much worth it. The course is set against the backdrop of the rolling hills and forests of central Ohio, offering stunning views and a serene ambiance. The Virtues presents a formidable challenge. It features dramatic elevation changes, well-placed bunkers, and water hazards, making it a true test of a golfer's skill and precision. The course is meticulously maintained, with lush fairways and fast, true-rolling greens. The attention to detail in course maintenance is evident and adds to the overall golfing experience.
In conclusion, The Virtues Golf Course is a scenic and challenging golfing destination, nestled in the Ohio countryside. It offers a high-quality golfing experience with its superb course conditions and facilities. However, the remote location and cost may be considerations for some golfers. Nevertheless, for those seeking a memorable golfing experience in a beautiful natural setting, The Virtues is a course worth visiting.
