CD sorcerer lords are great for their cost on mounts, I think they have very similar cost to the base mount and have a ranged attack and are (obviously) also caster lords too.
1. Twas a joke, 2. My point was just that whether or not they kill Astragoth is a terrible bar for lord strength as he is infamous for being overturned. Similar to saying ‘this melee cavalry doesn’t perform well into hellstriders’ back in patch 2.3

Just here to make sure you didn't do my boi Teclis dirty, as I'd have to organise all the other high elf mains into an armed resistance group and commandeer the channel in a bloody coup. Admittedly it's almost impossible to gauge how cost efficient a support caster is in damage value, especially when the combination of spells enables certain playstyles outright.
for e.g. asset sniping with a star dragon is really only possible with Teclis, as without a net you're likely to at least partially miss and especially in the case of SE artillery (bess, hellcannons and now the chorf arty too) as without the net to proc kindleflame, even a perfect breath attack where all the 'missiles' hit isn't enough to one shot a hell cannon, and without regrowth the star dragon often struggles with late game duels even when healthy because vigour debuffs are hectic. So unless you want to bring a light, bright and life wizard, AND you want to burn a spell with the bright wizard to proc kindleflame after you drop a net with the light wizard but before you drop the breath attack (cause that's gonna be easy to coordinate consistently) you can't do it without teclis.
I like both the herald of Slaanesh and Bloodthirster lord. To be honest I think herald is without contest the best SL lord. Yeah she’s almost 2k, but that’s the cheapest you get for Lord+Caster on SL

I think Grimgor is decent. He’s not quite as impacted by not having agency as the others, I feel. And Night Goblin warboss is amazing if you want death magic so you gotta skip out on Wurrzag. Very cheap for a rampage and an unlimited AoE net on an 84 speed character
I think he's much better in small size games where the ultimate question of how to deal with him is harder to answer. Larger games he struggles, because really, you don't need an answer for Grimgor, just bury him in Skinks or skavenslaves or something and kill the rest of the army until he routs, or just throw a couple spirit leeches at him or dogpile him with monsters and characters or something. In a smaller game, where your problem solving resources are a lot more limited, there's a solid chance he can eat all your countermeasures and just keep chugging through everything you own, and hold down the end of a battle on his own when there's just nothing left to deal with him. I think that can roughly apply to a lot of the big, spooky, slow statbrick type lords, Grimgor is just the poster child of it.
Slaan are really great. Compared to so many caster lords, a Slann needs minimal babysitting without needing to invest in a big mount, and just CHEW through chaff, blobs, ect at base.
You might want to reconsider the counts lords they are all healing casters with way better stats than other casters and dont break. Also blood dragon looses to the strigoi version in a straight up fight and he heals himself so you can spend magic on for example doing damage to the enemy.
Blood Dragon is a supreme duelist but isn't he like 3200 with all his good stuff? Von Carstein Bloodline has always been my choice for big air threat lords. Gets three free Tempests. Only dogwater Bloodline is the Necrarch imo
I think you’re being a bit unfair to Chaos lords. Archaon, as you say, ‘can carry a whole game-a 3k lord carrying a game played on 4x the funds is not merely ‘worth it’ imo, then you’re comparing Kholek to that

sisters of twilight s tier lord imo, insane versatility and dmg with a dragon, unlimited healing for 200, long range homing missiles, cant remember a game where i got less than 3k value and i got like 200+with them. Just dont fuck up by diving 2 dragon ogres or sth
Runelord is the only Dwarf Lord that should be on worth their cost tbh (The Runelord has Rune of Hearth and Home and Missile resist AoE), did my boy ultra dirty, same for the base Dwarf Lord (Starmetal Plate, Perfect Vigor Item, cheap), they are second and third after Thorek smh
Woah woah woah-Alberic IS the best Bretonnian lord. It’s not exactly a good statement about Bret lords, but Fey is still overrated. Also Louen is fine, people just use him wrong. He’s a support lord, not a combat lord, so why would he be good in combat? He’s not a dwarf

Male glade lord is excellent. WE rushes are kinda important now in a lot of MUs and the helm of discord is crazy good.
3000 for harkon on his mount is insane, the dude doesn't even have any spells.
His items are some of the worst in the game too. Used to be one of the best duelists but I'm not sure if that transferred over.
