This Bands "Sonata Arctica"'s Singer Toni Kakko is a close personal friend of Nightwis'es Tuomas Holopainen. In 2004 Tuomas was close to end Nightwish after their most successful Album "Once", Toni Kakko and Tuomas were hiking in Lapland Finland and Toni convinced Tuomas to continue Nightwish, which was a blessing to the Music World!
Hey guys :) thanks for the reaction. Im glad you both liked the song. It was hard to choose a sonata Arctica song to request, they have so many good ones.
Also Tony Kakko did a cover of Bohemian Rhapsody :)
@michaelshort2388
Hi Michale, thanks for the recommendation and bringing a new band to our attention, we were really impressed.
Ah, now if you know the history of our channel, we did a Bohemian cover marathon to find the best cover and reacted to about 12 version.
We are Bohemian'd out!!
This is my favourite band.
Sonata Arctica are so humble and greatful to be living the dream.
Tony is one of the most underrated singer/songwriter's ever.
Their next album is going to be Power Metal.
I love that Sonata Arctica are diverse.
Saw them again in concert 2 days ago, they sang this song. They're absolutely lovely people, so warm and funny .
This song is written for childrens rights. If I have understood it right, a finnish organization requested it from Tony Kakko. And if I heard it right, this is the shorter version. There's a chapter that's not included in when using the song in spesific purposes (Korjatkaa joku jos menee ihan vihkoon tää tieto/correct if I'm wrong).
I like these guys, my younger boy is into them and introduced me a while back. These are great lyrics, yes powerful. God bless Finland! They know how to do metal 🐾🐾 Look at BP1 and his growing education in rock/metal!! I''m proud of you 🤩
Hank sends his love to "That Effing Dog" girlfriend of his!
Next..same band...song..dont say a word...❤❤❤
Nice reaction on one of the best Finnish powermetal bands ever!!!
Cheers for the suggestion, Michael!
Hey! I enjoyed this one! Agree with BP1. I didn't connect the dots myself, but once you mentioned Brian May and Queen, I knew exactly what you meant. Sort of gave me 80's feels, too. I'd listen to this again no problem.
Nice one! Even Phil agreed!
Wow! You surprised me again, they are a good band!
@chueysmama2622 you should know I'm full of surprises by now! 🤪
Very underated band. They have some cracking songs!! I recommend White pearl black ocean
Please check out Theocracy " Mosaic " Theocracy is very powerful with a great lyrics. When the music kicks in it has a Maiden feel.
This is the first I've heard of this band.
Bravo to them for addressing a topic that sadly as he said in that interview every generation in every part of the world can relate to.
Musically I do get a Nightwish vibe but also some 80s power metal as well.
There's one band in particular from the 80s that the lead singer very much reminds me of but for the life of me, I can't picture who it is right now.🤔
Although I agree about the Queen influence as well.
The little boy actor was very good as well. My heart hurt for him.
The lyrics hit hard for me as well.
This will sit with me for a bit.😮
A great choice for a reaction. Looking forward to seeing more.
Sonata Arctica 👍👍
I've never heard of this band but this is more my style! I liked this. The topic hit close to home.. Not parental but my age group.
@Kari5274
Great to hear you found a new band you enjoy.
That's what we are all about.
We are Live tonight and not Sunday as BP1 is off on holiday.
7:30 UK time.
The topic definitely hits close to home, but with a delivery like this it sounds like a farce to me. Heavy topics need to be treated with heavy music. Trying to make them more accessible and appealing to a mainstream audience is just plain insulting.
I know someone who did a way better job at this. Not nearly as catchy for sure, but much more powerful: czcams.com/video/dKWCoz-CFMQ/video.html
@@BritPopsReact thanks for the reminder. I would not have remembered it.
Great reaction. My favorites from Sonata Arctica if you want to react to more of them:
-White Pearl, Black Oceans (I heard someone characterize this as "Queen on steroids")
-Full Moon
-Tallulah
Also check out some Northern Kings if you want to see Tony Kakko (Sonata Arctica vocalist) with Marko Hietala (Ex-Nightwish) and two other excellent Finnish vocalists. They do hard rock/metal covers of classics. From them, I'd recommend Kiss From a Rose, Take on Me, or We Don't Want Another Hero.
White pearl, black oceans is a MASTERPIECE ❤❤❤
For other Finnish power metal bands, Battle Beast is pretty much the shiniest beacon right now.
Check for example Where Angels Fear To Fly.
SHIT! I commented too soon. BP1, I will send you some of my baby's drawings, I wandered into his room about a year ago and he had this plate of burnt sticks and he was drawing with them! Homemade charcoal art. And they were quite good!
@chueysmama2622
Thanks for the drawings, we both had a look and they are very impressive indeed.
There could be a future in those.
We will be popping up some pics from Rachel Levels brother on the Live Show tonight We are going live this evening at 7:30 UK time as B1 is off on his Summer holidays.
Rachel sent us some pictures her brother drew, he is an illustrator for Marvel. so be sure to show your pride and joy those.
If you can pop into the show even better.
Cheers
@BritPopsReact I'm hoping my oldest and his babies arrive late, I really want to be at the live!!!
For the British Isles this song is somewhat pertinent considering child healthcare especially when it comes to transgendered children.
So much effort to deny and other trans people and children are caught in the crossfire and taking the biggest blow as we only get one puberty and some people in power are hellbent in denying access to blockers, so they can go through the puberty they want later.
Conservatives preferring to shut these children down and hide them away rather than letting them live their own lives.
Even transchildren deserve to be heard and to be seen.
I think Nightwish is more Symphonic metal. Power metal is a constantly hard driving music. But then Epica is kind of a blend of the two. I did like the key change which you don't get with metal bands often. Kinda quiet tonight . . . HELLO . . . Hello . . . hello . . . ECHO . . . Echo . . . echo . . .
@hardtackbeans9790
It did start off very quiet for the take up on this video but it has picked up a bit.
Just goes to show, even with all the subscribers we have, if they don't know it, they won't click on it. "Sigh"
We are live tonight Friday 7:30PM UK Time
@BritPopsReact I can honestly say that between you guys and one other reactor(he's a Brit too😄)I've been exposed to bands and styles of music that I never would have otherwise.
Most I've been pretty amazed by.
Not all are Playlists for me but I still enjoyed them.
