Hope this was a helpful review for you guys!
Here are the Pit House settings I use on F1 22: drive.google.com/drive/folders/1JA6aGVgBcKfYYBQTCZO1YUMrUFXtoHa4?usp=share_link
Saw you using it in your other videos, great review
Nice honest Review Ant! Beautiful!
REEKS OF A GOOD REVIEW!
I can smell it from here man 🤮🤣
I actually just got this bundle a week ago, and I love it. I already had the SR-P Load Cell pedals, so I have no need for the SR-P Lite pedals that came with it. I probably still need to do some fine-tuning, but it's already miles ahead of the G29 I had previously, and I got it on sale, which was even better. XD It definitely gives me a workout, even with "only" 5.5nm, but I really wanna replace the D-wheel with an actual round one that's wider.
I think moza setup would be a great combo for monoposto!
Hi there all i can say such an honest sincere review ive been looking at the r5 currently have g923 the brake pedal is a concern but like you said the brake performance kit is a must
For these pedals yes the brake is needed, it just doesn't feel good otherwise :)
Centering spring is for games that don't have it built in, most sims do. My R5 arrives tomorrow to replace my T300 with the open wheel mod. Won't be using the pedals either, have VNM LITES. Also got the formula mod. Thanks for the tips
if the formula was an option to get with the buttons and be able to use quick release to got back and forth from D to formula... and loadcell SRP was included instead of the lite... that would be so tempting
I started out with a Black Logitech Momo back in 2002.
Over the years I've had 2 of those, a G27, a G920, a T300, and a TS-XW.
About a month ago I bought an R5 bundle.
My first time using a DD system for SIm Racing.
All I can say at this point is, quite impressed & imo anyone who is even a little serious about Sim Racing would be "cutting themselves short" by investing in a Belt and/or Gear driven system over a DD system.
100% agree! I think that waiting a little longer and saving roughly £200 - £300 more and getting a bundle like this or from Fanatec would save you way more in the long run
im bout to but the r9 after using the g920 for years i cant wait
Hey Anthony! Long time listener, first time caller here!
Thoughtful, honest review. On the pedals issue, can you not use your TM loadcell pedals witb the R5? You just connect both to the PC.
Works a treat with my Fanatec CSL DD while I save for Fanatec loadcell pexals.
Yeah, that's what I have been doing 😅
I tested the SRP Lite pedals for a little bit and knew I was going back to my TM pedals
I would say the spring/recentre for the wheel is because that's how it works in your real car - if you let go of the wheel the car recentres itself if the road is level.
I searched for reviews. And saw you made one. Yas lawd
Let's gooo!
I'm curious as to your negative experiences with sim racing gloves. I have a pair from Sim Hound, and I love them compared to just bare-handing the wheel.
Great Video! I tried the pit house settings in the video and I see improvement over what i have been using. Would you be able to post the feedback settings you use in game for the formula 1 games?
No, as we are so close to F1 23. I'll make a video on that game showing my settings :)
@@BushiAntz thanks!
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Does yours show the pedals are disconnected until you hit the gas or brake? Then it shows connected when I hit the gas. Drops within 1 second after letting go. Is that normal?
I mostly got it for the size. Gitva small room. Just wanted something with really good force feedback from a $50 cheapy plastic wheel.
Anyway i have no room fir a rig so i git myself a fantastic ganibg chair, VR headset and mounted it to my desk usibg the clamps it cane with. Irs perfect for me
Can you adjust the setting while in game or do you gotta restart?
a 👌 review
I own a moza r5 set. I bought it 2 weeks ago. I have a srp pedal.
I play an ACC racing game. After playing for an hour, the base gets very hot.
Base settings pit house ACC settings.
Does your r5 base also get hot?
As a result of this heating, the base may malfunction in the future.
My settings seem good so far (they are in the description) best setting is to change the cooling to conservative. I haven't noticed any overheating issues with my base
Can I just buy the base an steering without pedals? Because I want to use my logitech pedals 🙏🏻
If iam not a console player i would go for moza immediately.. unfortunatelly i use ps5 so i keep my T-GT2 which i find really solid as well... dont want to buy overpriced fanatec. :(
Anyway thx for your vids.. they are really helpful.. especially i like track guides for my F1 league where we race without race line :-)
Yeah, completely understandable. The lack of sim racing wheels for console is insane to me 🤨
This one or the Fanatec CSL DD? Want to buy my first wheel and not sure which one to get. Its either Logitech G29/ Thrustmaster T300 to start with or straight to DD.
Moza R5 is 579€ where i live, the Fanatec CSL DD with the table clamp will be 530€. G29 is ~230 and T300 is ~330.
If you go with a belt-driven wheel, I'd easily say the T300. As for the Direct Drive wheels, I've never used a Fanatec wheel so by default I'd say, Moza.
I think getting a direct drive is a much better decision as you probably not upgrade for anything other than more strength moving forward
The Google drive doc for the F1 22 settings looks all whack it's hard to read
I think thats just because of the extension Moza use, all you need to do is import it through Pit House and it will change all the settings
CSL DD_PRO(8nm)+Esport
can't see what the problem is with drilling new holes in your rig ??
voids warranty/not everyones cup of tea to drill.
in my country the minimum sallary on economy is 2850 and the wheel is 3000 so thats a salary gone
Edit: wihout shipping or vat
Moza R5 "Radiator Edition" xD
bro your chair is too short or your rig is too high thats why the wheel is blocking your view.
I'm sitting in a formula position, so it's neither
