Thank's !!! That trick with the WD-40 was usefull. It helps when having no other equipment, just basic stuff AND tour hands.
Yeah ! 😄👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks Mitch, just changed my belt and roller on Piaggio 250, thanks for your vid, now I have a noisy clutch for some reason, will have to watch your vid on this, only got 6K in miles - strange noise
❤❤❤very nice video.
Can i clear area there all with w40?
I mean all the metal not only clutch
Mine seems like its welded on too....will try your method, but haven't got all that lovely space to grab the bell as the housing extends almost right over it ???
I miss your longer videos man! Any plans to bring out some soon? Non runners or new projects??
Hey yes I have bunch... still restoring ... also I have 8-10 non-running scooters in mainland that I am going to ship to Maui to work on 😁👍🏼
@@MitchsScooterStuff Nice!!! Im looking forward to it! Love seeing old scooters getting the live they deserve.
I've just started making my own videos too so if you get the time to take a look and give some feedback that would be great 😁👍
Nice...👍.
😎🤙🏼
Any ideas on how to remove the whole assembly as I have a Suzuki burgman and it’s seized on
Same.issue was this resolved?
Hi Mitch...would you share the cause how it got stuck? Was it because too long not got it out?
I want to know to. Why it got stuck
2 different metals + HEAT + friction + time. The bell will warp but the shaft stays rigid. You can hammer out the opening in the bell so it’s round again. Easier to buy a new one for $5 and start fresh.
is it rust?
A gear puller would work better.
Yes... I don't have one and I think this is most simple tools that everyone would have to get job done
@@MitchsScooterStuff Harbor Freight sells specialty tools crazy cheap. I usually believe in buying quality tools for daily use but when it’s something you will only use once every few years that place can’t be beat. Set of 3 sizes gear pullers is only $16 (not in Hawaii yet but just about every place else)
so wht is the solution after this?? need to replace the bell or clutch??
Yeah to replace the bell / clutch / pulleys / belt ...
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
👍👏👐
🙌🏼
How can we prevent this mitch?
The bell acts as a heat sink and the cheap metals warp. Replace with a performance bell for just a few dollars more and this won’t happen
@@drdrew3i got 2 bell aftermarket and original both got stuck...
My pully comes off now pff
No Helix yet? 🛵💨💨💨
Still hunting
spray wd40 and wait for 10 minutes, after that you can remove it more easy!
Pff no way 2hr still not loose tomotrow i will try again.
Penetrating oils do that time to get deep into tight spaces but you still need mechanical force to separate the more sunken parts. Patience and creativity help too
Thanks for this video. My LX 125 had a similar problem. Damaged a little clutch housing, but nothing serious 😅
