The Bose do have a terrible name, but I still want to know what genius thought "oh yeah, WH-1000xM3 sounds so catchy!"
Like someone said in Mark 3's video, Sony (brand), WH (wireless headphones), 1000x (model name) M3 (mark 3).
@@kresimircosic9035 Because as a non-Sony fanboy, someone is supposed to "just know" that WH stands for "wireless headphones", 1000x is the model, and "M3" is the iteration.
@@Nathan-tg4gu Not following, what did you expect? Silver platter? Name me one thing modelled and versioned that doesn't need an initial explanation.
@@kresimircosic9035
Looks like I'll need to rant.
I'm not aware of any product name that tells the whole story, but most of them give some hint after just an initial glance.
"13 inch MacBook Pro" is pretty obvious if you don't live under a rock. The word "MacBook" has been around for decades. It simply means, "13 inch display apple laptop with better features".
That works partly because the name is descriptive, and partly because Apple's creation of laptops is well known.
But Sony is in the business of making many unrelated products. They make everything from Projectors, cameras, and yes, headphones.
So "WH-1000xM3" does not become clear simply because it's attached to the brand "Sony" in the same way "MacBook" does with apple.
The name has no words, only abbreviations. It's a bunch of seemingly random numbers and letters thrown together with no cohesive meaning absent further investigation. That would be fine if Sony had a long history of "WH" being a popularly known abbreviation, but that's not the case.

Airline adapter is being phased out on all planes, the standard is 3.5mm jack. I assume thats why is no longer included.
I haven't seen the double plug in many, many years. No need for it anymore.
J.A. Torres some asian airlines still have the double plug style thou u can get past these by plugging them into 1 hole and wiggle it around so u get stereo sound
Airline seats and audio equipment are used for a long time. Even though new aircraft will most likely just have the 1x 3.5mm jack, the older ones still have the 2x 3.5mm. So plenty of planes still flying that need the double pin jack. These adapters literally cost 50 cents to make... its ridiculous that they are not included on such an expensive set - which even targets frequent flyers!

The free headset on planes often have one of the airline adapters attached to a standard 3.5mm jack, so you can usually score one on the plane if all else fails.

i bought a bose, my sister has a sony headphone and i used beats headphones from my friend. the sound quality really has no major difference and what really is disappointing is how many bugs and functions the bose headphones has compared to sony or beats. i could not track my bose headphones which is a common feature in other headphones. i experienced multiple connectivity and sound bugs on my phone and computer. sometimes i would connect to my phone and record sound through the microphone which glitched the sound. other times my computer could not connect to the device which has been done in the past.

Depends on implementation. SBC sounds noticeably worse on most of my headphones, but some bluetooth speakers only support it still sound quite good. There was a discussion on XDA indicating SBC can actually sound better than AptX if artificial limitations on bitrate are removed - AptX apparently compresses the dynamic range. With the Jabra 65t, I've noticed SBC sounding worse on my phone (Note 9) than my Windows 10 laptop (where it sounds almost as good as AAC). However, if manufacturers can't get a good SBC implementation, it's a dealbreaker if you plan to use it for laptops.

@@sahnyook7672 bro these headphones are essentially the same, but the Bose 700s (and QC35 ii) has dual device connection, and XM3 has the beast LDAC which means wayyy higher and crisper sound quality. So which one would you take? I know my pick :)
@moo LDAC is just a gimmick never been able to use it on my device for some reason. But the app does wonders for improving the sound quality
Yep. I'll never bye these new Bose because of the butt ugly design alone.
Im still over hear with the Bose quietcomfort II and love them
M. Smart yes baby, purchased the 700, they’re going back...quite comfort lol all the way
i bought them recently. amazing headphones!
I have the Sony WH1000XM3 since a few months and I love it. It's perfect when you use public transport and you don't like screaming children in the train/bus
2:32 the QC35 II are able to connect to two devices aswell. I always connect them to my mobile and laptop simultaniously
Kenny Maccormac qc 35 could do that also
My audiotechnica SR50BT is very flat but because it has so much range I can hear more bass from it than a Beats Studio 3
The launched an update for the Bose app with an equaliser. So you now can setup the bass, mid and treble :)
I totally agree with the lack of character from these Bose headphones.
I usually end up using EarPods more than my QC25's.
Hi MKBHD! Love your reviews and am a big fan!!! In regards to the airline adaptor missing on the 700's, I don't think it's a big miss if it's even a miss as mostly all airlines now have the 3.5mm jack. I'm not a frequent flyer, but in all my flights in the past few years including long haul ones , I don't remember ever using my Bose QC25's airline jack!
They still have the weird "digital artifacting" happening in the treble like the qc35?
I absolutely hate the 2.5 mm jack I'm like why does it even exist.
To have a special cable you can only user for Aux if you have an adapter!
I want to hear your stance on this. Genuinely. Please elaborate.
@@thekiddshow whose stance? Mine was a joke, because I don't understand why it exists either.
iaintdonknow the op
Kidd because you can’t go to any store to buy a cable if you lose the original.
How does the sound quality of the new 700s compare to the QC 35 II?
Pro Tech Help thats not an answer to the question if the sound is better or not compared to the qc35II
gerb trust me you wanna do the migearoverall coming next month
I work at mi Malay Asia and they gave us a specimen and man does it deliver for the price 3000%
I think the biggest factor to this question is the "sound signature". The sound itself is better overall (althrough not by *that* much), but the sound signature is more to flat, which means that the sound signature sounds more like the original recording, rather than bass/treble boosted.
If you're someone who loves bass boosted musics, this won't deliver that IF you don't use an equalizer. But if you're someone who value accuration (especially musicians), you'll find this headphone sounds wonderful.
Either way, you can always ise an equalizer (like I do) to set the music to your personal taste. As in the "quality" itself, Mark did say that this is as good as any other flagship headphones sound.
both shit. if u want sound quality maybe check out blue satellites. so much better
Pro Tech Help “they are better in every way it says so on the website” “Pro tech help”
I like how clean they look. Good review bro.
I love the sleek design of the NC700's. I've only held the Sony's in shops and once when a friend let me try his pair but they felt kinda cheap and plasticy to me. The sound from the Sony's is definitely bassier but I feel like, for overall sound quality, the NC700's better. If you just want bass then get the Sony's but if you want clear vocals and a balanced sound (as Marques puts it, flat) then the NC700 is way better. Also the NC700 still has plenty of bass, it's just in balance with the rest of the track instead of overpowering everything else. It's really a preference/taste thing. I'm listening to Tadow by Masego ft FKJ right now on my NC700's and the bass is proper punchy without overpowering the smooth vocals. I also like that the treble is not too sharp on the NC700's. Some people that love the clash of a cymbal in rock music might want more treble but I personally find too much treble to be really fatiguing so the smooth, clear and balanced sound of the NC700's is perfect for me. To each, their own, I say.
whois here because of the pixel 6?
