Back when I was in high school and college, when I had a need to wear headphones, I was an Audio Technica, Sennheiser, and Bowers & Wilkens fan. I still have and use my AT ATH-m50x and B&O P3 all the time. I prefer wired headphones and will use HQ USB-C to headphone adapters for my phone.

I just watched this review for the second time. I didn’t think I’d ever buy a set of Beats when this video originally came out, but I actually bought a set over the weekend after a co-worker recommended them. He’s an iPhone user and I have an Android phone these days. I’m very pleased with these and have has AirPods in the past when I was still on iPhone. My last set of buds were OnePlus Zs and they were terrible. Only lasted about 6 months before one earbud quit working.

Marques and team, could you guys do more audio/audiophile related reviews? There are some really interesting headphones out there but I trust this channel more than any other to give a true unbiased opinion. For instance maybe reviewing the bowers and wilkins PI7's and comparing them to sony whxm4 etc etc
Yo the amount of work and homework that goes into his videos like Marquise knows what they have or what they don’t like before making all his videos he would have to have 2 days to a full week to look up all the info like beats not having h1 chip like the air pods do and all that that’s crazy props to him

I recognize that beats are far from the best but the power beats 3 are my go to favorite everyday headphones. I’ve owned three pairs now over like 5+ years and I use them pretty much all day with no issue, I actually love the wire because I can hang them around my neck if I need to take them out temporarily and I still get all the benefits of other completely wireless earbuds, plus I get charging cases are helpful but it’s really nice to just have 12ish hours of battery built in. They aren’t for everyone but if you are moving around a bunch and taking headphones in and out of your ears they are great, and I can attest that they are built well enough to last a few years.

I bought a pair of the red ones today. I found the sound pretty close to buds costing twice as much. A little muddier in the mid range maybe, but good. Love the clicky switches. Pretty comfortable so far and they don't feel like they're going to fall out. But, it's only been 8 hours, so we'll see how I make out.

They’re far more portable, convenient, comfortable, and unobtrusive. You can fit them in your pocket, wear them in bed comfortably and even fall asleep with them, go anywhere and forget that they’re even in your ear, and be outside without having to wear big janky headphones that make you stand out in a crowd. What people look for in these truly wireless earbuds doesn’t have anything to do with over-ears. Compare 1st gen AirPods to what we have now in the space and it’s a huge improvement. The difference is not minimal. Even when comparing recent competition. AirPods Pro specialize in features like noise-cancellation, while Sony’s XM4’s specialize in sound quality.

Beats By Dre have the best marketing in the game. However, their products audio quality was so far below par for their price point it was laughable. People would listen to them and say "how amazing they sound" only because of the logo.. I'd give those people or friends some good Senheissers or even Bose and theyd realize their ignorance of their Beats audio quality really quick.
Some people would rather listen to hardware EQ than a flat response. It’s for listening to music, making music in the beat headphones is a nightmare.
