    Long distance touring >1000km forced me to rethink the use of the regular chain lube that comes in the usual spray cans. This paste version is perfect because I don't have to worry about pressurized cans blowing up and leaving a colossal mess when I park the bike under the hot noon sun and I don't have to keep buying it for every trip like I have to with the small travel-sized cans of lube. Plus it looks like there's plenty in the tube to serve the 2 bikes that we ride when touring, more than enough to last several trips even.

I'd rather apply some aerosol wax and use that as the problem of sludge formation due to paste is greatly reduced. What do you think?

    I use white lithium grease in a spray can. It comes out of the spray can as a thin liquid that soaks into the rollers and coats the o or x rings, which preventing them from drying out with age and cracking. After a few minutes the grease congeals into a thick paste. After it congeals you can wipe away the excess so it doesn't sling off the chain resulting is grease splattering on the bike.

    Basically, all it is is very expensive white grease. Oring chains have only two enemies. Rust and wear between the rollers and pin. The grease only does the first. It prevents rust. You need a grease that goes on in liquid form so it gets under the rollers and this does not. So if all I want is a rust free chain, any old grease brushed on would do fine.

Try not to clean, but regularly lube them with gear oil, it will last more than the ones cleaned and lubed. Regular gear oil lubing simply flings away the heavy dirt.

    Personally this lube is my favourite ! All other lube makes the chain dirty and cleaning them is a pain and damages the permanent seals.. This lube sits on the friction point of the brass chain of my Dominar 400 UG and Surprisingly I've used the chain for 3500 kms and till now there seems to be no adjustment required and the chain still sounds like a brand new chain.. During rain the lube doesn't work that properly for longer duration but in dry conditions it's perfect.. And my chain is super clean as well.. I've already applied around 8 times and the tube is still 70% full i guess 🤣

      I have the perfect solution for you. Use my Turbofield Nano Treatment and keep touring . It treats the metal and seals the micro pores of the metal surface of the chain. Stays there permanently and lubricates the chain ,reduces friction,heat, noise
      And it lasts very very very long
      It is also available for engine wheel bearing and suspension . Your ride in touring will be on the next level .
      And the best feature of this product is the more you drive the more it improves the performance and ride .

      No harm in experimenting. Most chuck pastes are NLGI 3 (or 2) which makes them thicker and that can be an issue if it is used for highway speeds.

    • @sonarrinchenbhutia8644
      @sonarrinchenbhutia8644 Před 3 lety

      If you got a spoke tyre bike the sound may also come from spokes. Get it tight. Also check the chain if you haven't replaced with new one. Lastly clean the chain and lube it well. Iam not a pro but sharing my personal experience.🙏
