  • First run of the auto clean system on the pressure filter. Running for 10 weeks to mature before cleaning will probably run this monthly from now on.

Yea it's a decent size, seems to be doing its job, let's see when the waste load increases. So far between that and the bog filter it seems ok 👍

Make sure that you take the lid off that pressure filter once a month n clean it with pond water mate. They if not opened n cleaned regularly hold alot of nasty bacteria which will make your koi get bacterial issues. I started with big pressure filters n was too lazy to open them n had loads of koi fatalities. The clean cycles don't do a proper clean leaving crap in the filter. Upgrade to an eazypod/nexus/drum if you intend to keep your koi into adult hood. Best advice i can give 👍🐟

@@ecosystemkoi9159 no worries mate sounds harsh but pressure filters are not good for koi ask any koi keeper. I only have one to protect my heater n uv from getting dirty. They r fine for goldfish n shubumpkins tho as they are as hard as nails n can practically swim in battery acid lol 👍🐟

Dont forget to clean the actual pump in the pond , id wait until the water temp increases as the piping can become brittle with cold .

Hi there I have a 750 gallon pond on the way ez pond and was wondering if this pressure filter will be sufficient?
I’m running a 4” bottom drain into a Cetus sieve.
I’m soo limited to space otherwise I’d have a easypod or nexus 220. Also running a 55watt uv.
I see that your water clarity is superb.
Can you tell me since the video if the pond clarity is still as gd?
Or have you discontinued the filter??
    Thx

      @@ecosystemkoi9159 Well that's good.
Just watch for the seals. An issue in their Aquarium canister filters. Where they have damaged the floors for some people due to leaks (Being outside, it's not a major issue).
I own a few canisters, but took many precautions to reduce that risk. They are just unbeatable in price.

    • @ecosystemkoi9159

Not according to the instructions no, it also says the unit can be buried upto the lid but that for me would have hampered cleaning and I wasn't comfortable leaving it exposed to all weathers 👍

Have you got a video of u doing a deep clean at all ?
My motor died on this filter after 2 years - and Allpondsolutions said tough that happens ! So I can’t do the auto clean now.

      @ecosystemkoi9159  Před 2 lety

Hi, I don't have a video of deep cleaning unfortunately. My first thought is if you can't do the auto clean it becomes a very impractical unit as would require alot of effort for a simple clean. It's a shame you've not had better support from APS 🙄

Pressure vessels should not be sold as a filter. They contain hardly any bio and act as a parasite hotel. In mid summer you’ll be cleaning that out every day. If you strip it down you’ll see all the crap at bottom of the filter.
No offence intended but they are not filters.
