  • Hey guys, thank you for taking the time to watch our video! 💕
Are you looking for a delicious dinner recipe this weekend? 😍 This #EasyOrangeTofu is such a great treat! We’ve been making this for years now and still, it’s the ultimate comfort food! 😋 It’s pretty filling and a really good meal that you can share with your family. 😊
    EASY ORANGE TOFU ✹
    Ingredients:
    300 g firm tofu, cubed
    1.5 cups orange juice
    1/2 cup maple syrup
    1/4 cup cornstarch
    1 tbsp. tomato ketchup
    1 tbsp. onion powder
    1 tbsp. garlic powder
    1 tbsp. soy sauce
    1 tbsp. apple cider vinegar
    1 tsp crushed ginger
    2 tbsp. water
    salt and pepper to taste
    Cornstarch slurry ingredients:
    1 tsp cornstarch
    1 tbsp. water
    *For the toppings: (optional)
    chopped spring onions
    sesame seeds
    orange zest
    Method
    For the Tofu:
Using a clean towel, pat dry your firm tofu to remove the excess water. Cut tofu into cubes and set aside.
Make the batter by combining the cornstarch, salt & pepper to taste and 2 tbsp. of water. Add the tofu into the batter mixture and gently toss to evenly coat them. Line the tofu pieces on a baking sheet and bake it in the oven for 15-20 minutes at 200 degrees Celsius or 392 degrees Fahrenheit.
    To make the Orange Sauce:
Combine orange juice, maple syrup, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, crushed ginger, ketchup, garlic powder and onion powder. Mix it well. Transfer the sauce mixture into a non-stick pan and bring to a boil. Give it a good stir and let it simmer for another 3 minutes. Make the cornstarch slurry by dissolving 1 tsp cornstarch in 1 tbsp. of water and add them in the mixture. Stir to combine.
After that, add the baked tofu into the pan and toss to coat with the orange sauce. Season with salt & pepper to taste and let it cook for 2-3 minutes or until the sauce thickens. Transfer in a plate and garnish with chopped spring onion, sesame seeds and orange zest. Serve immediately and enjoy with steamed rice.
*Feel free to adjust the recipe measurements according to your preference. Cheers! 😊
