- We made it! We loaded the Vauxhall Cavalier Chassis 1 British Touring Car on to the trailer and got ourselves to Silverstone Circuit. We arrived on the Friday, qualifying and race 1 was on the Saturday and Race 2 was on the Sunday! There was some hiccups on the way that you can see for yourselves, but overall, for a car that has not raced in a good while, it was a successful weekend of racing and we are looking forward to the next event on 28th May at Oulton Park! Thank you again Jim, for allowing us to be a part of such an awesome story!

Best touring car era ever. The racing, cars, drivers with personality and Murray Walker commentating
Love the close up look of the cars, sad to say I wanted to see more of the Ford in the background, Mondeo in race colours and the Volvo estate
We'll keep that in mind for next race day!
Loved this era of BTCC, I grew up watching the RS500 Cosworths, and e30 M3's. Then the 1990s brought these screaming beasts. 300bhp of NA power. I personally think the early Cavalier with the BBS split rims always looked the best. Fab video.
Great video , i bloody missed the event 🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️.
Remember going to watch em back in 90s
I’ve had loads of cavaliers, great cars,mk2 and mk3,gl’s cd’s,Sri’s cdx models and most where all ex company cars, always found the 8v engines bullet proof(if serviced regular).
Thank you so much, such pleasure to watch your CZcams video. Love it.
Love that sound great video and the in car footage was awesome
Outstanding video!! What an experience
Those were the days. Absolutely epic. What a privilege to be involved in the event. Thanks for sharing.
Our pleasure pal
Great video seeing all these together
Just got home from work to this absolute gem of a blog.... heaven on earth... c20 for life.... even tho I currently have a c16xe 😂😂 mint vid made my day this
Looks & sounds awesome! I had the pleasure of sourcing parts in Jim's early rebuild days for this stunning cav, great to see it back out, I'm 100% going to have to come and see it again racing!! Great vid, well done 👏 👍
My favourite era of touring cars
Awesome to see so many old touring cars.
What a engine those 20xe Swindon's were
I so miss that era of touring cars. It was brilliant. The 300bhp Swindon got from the XE I think hasn't been bettered still after all these years, and the XE still very much holds its own against so many newer engines.
love all these old touring cars
Another excellent video mt! Great seeing old touring cars driven again! U looked totally buzzing looking after the car
Mega! Love it. Engine sounds awesome.
Brilliant content, great stories and great cars 👍
Thanks for your words mate👍
Excellent stuff mate!! Loving the vids!
What an absolute dream to be part of that!!!
Brilliant really enjoyed this
Superb video bud... Great footage!!!
Epic this living the dream 🙌
Great video. You're such a lucky guy lol. Loved the incar footage, The whine of the gearbox and induction noise. Jim drove it well. It wouldnt be a vauxhall without a few little issue's 😂. Glad you got them fixed and put a crackin time in. Looking forward to the next video already.
That's epic 👍
Hello great stuff 👍
superb video mate 👏🏻👏🏻
Love these old Cavaliers. I had a 92 GSI 4x4. Great car but always thought it could do with more grunt. Then the Turbo 4x4 appeared. Bought a 94 one with 6000 miles on it. 1st owner bought it to tow a caravan but had never ever used 6th gear. 80mph on the motorway in 5th with a 6 berth caravan on the back. Didn't need 6th he said. No shit !!Absolute stonker of a car. Kept it for 6 years then traded it in for a 99 Vectra Gsi V6 2.5. Big mistake. Dog of a car. Sounded great but not a patch on the Turbo. Eventually ended up with a Monaro. What a car that was. But that's a nother story.
Fantastic
I know its an old video.. but as you say. I wouldnt want to be any where else at 10.30 at night.. i could walk around and around all night looking at the cars
How do we get back to those glory days where you could buy what was raced on Sunday.
Hoping to come watch at oulton Park
Dream cars
I bet u was counting btcc cars instead of sheep that night what a treat...
Badasss cars
Those gold wheels on car number one look so much better then the later cavs
Great to hear a feild of those engines at flat chat again. When did they change to the sequential shifter behind the steering wheel? Always looked a bit awkward to use.
Current BTCC isn't a patch on the Super Touring era.
Progress. 😒
New to look at the other cars are more interesting 🤔
The last vauxhall i had fell apart ! the front end cracked on the shell had to be welded it was that bad the drive shaft came out 1.8 gte
Are the super tourers coming to Croft?
Noice
Id love to see a cavalier in the hks touring car livery
Vlog*
Considering going to Oulton to see these in a couple of weeks, will you be there helping out at that round too?
Yes I will be with the car all year.
Is that 102 ron fuel?
No accords there ??? 👀👀🤔🤔
There was one.
Great video but I’ve got to ask… what are you editing out? I think about half a dozen micro cuts per 5 seconds of dialogue.
The editing is done by my son. I think the micro cuts are to stop me “errm” “arrr” “wellll” to make the dialogue flow alittle better.
@@TwinEngineCorsa ahh fair enough. Great video all the same. What a privilege to be amongst so many TC icons.
Wow you do know how to make a man go moist , seething with jealousy
Vauxhall cars are like women everyone of them has got a problem and they always go wrong 😑
Agree with the women part but my VX is faultless, unlike the BMW i traded in for it.
Unltimately, all manufacturers have faults with there cars.
