Just an update on the knocking sound. Toyota has said there is a problem and they are now investigating. All of the 300 Series models we have tested have exhibited the knocking sound. Statement from Toyota below:
    Full details: www.carexpert.com.au/car-news/toyota-investigating-landcruiser-300-series-knocking-noise
“Toyota Australia has identified that on some LC300 vehicles, a light knocking noise may emanate from the front steering area whilst driving at low speed over small corrugations.
“This is not detrimental to the operation of the steering or the vehicle. We have requested our Dealers report any instances of this occurring, to further support our investigation into this phenomenon,” it said.

Had the 300 series for a few weeks and I must say its been performing very well
    pros:
    - Beautiful design. Absolutely timeless
    - Comfortable suspension
    - A lot of offroad features
    - Amazing power and torque
    - Super quite and smooth engine noise(from the cabin)
    - High ground clearance
    - Luxurious front cabin interior
    - Better fuel economics than the previous generation
    - Super big luggage capacity
    - Can fit 4 kids/thin adults in the middle row and all 4 is still comfortable and have plenty of space
    - Electrically reclinable 3rd row seats
    - Simple to understand and super high quality physical buttons
    - Lots of safety and on-road features
    Cons:
    - Rear interior could be more luxurious for the price
    - Needs more soft touch materials/leather in the cabin at this pricepoint
    - RSE should have more functions like navigation, etc, and the graphic quality can be better
    - 3rd row seat have plenty of room, but extremely low seats, which would make you end up squatting
    - Suspension comfort can be a little better at this price point, although it can smooth out bigger bumps/potholes in lower speeds very well
    - Infotainment system is a little confusing

Every vehicle has gone way up in price in the last 18 months.
      The GVM is still poor
If u get it as a 7 seater
Room in Row 3 is poor
      And Row 2 is fixed
Row 2 doesn’t slide forward or back, so it’s compromised, when u want versatility to seat 6 passengers.
Row 2 is not particularly spacious for a vehicle of this size, and seems to be very little toe room in Row 2…

The infotainment screen and the centre console seemed a bit wobbly, definitely more than a defender or Range Rover, I know those cars are nowhere near as reliable as this, so LC fans don’t kill me, but for the kind of money you’re spending for this ZX or GR sport, I personally expect better.

    • @CM-le4yh

I love LCs but if they are going to creep into range rover prices, they need a new team for the interior design. Looks like they randomly added that screen as an after thought. Doesn't really seem to be in the same class as other luxury SUVs. And if someone says "we don't want luxury, we want reliability", then buy a 70series or a hilux and get on with it. This seems like an awkward space in between range rover, as far as price goes, and Nissan as far as luxury and design goes.

    • @abdallah4842

Because they are on huge demand due to their brilliant track record as a reliable premium brand than any other. Waiting list to get a new LC 300 is 12 months as we speak since the demand is so high than the supply. All shipment were sold on the first day of the launch, goes to show you why the price is justified irregardless of whether you like it or not. Toyota is the new epitome of class and reliability in contemporary automobile world.

You australians are lucky, here in pakistan they cost about 500,000 USD which is absolutely insane. However what alot of people do is that they get a LC200 instead and uplift it so that it looks exactly like the LC300 apperance aside from the engine ofcourse, which i find pretty cool since its a v8 lol

After all the reviews I've read/watched, and having waited with great anticipation on the arrival of the 300 the last couple of years, I have to admit I'm a little let down by the final product. Seriously looking to upgrade my 2014 Jeep GC which is now too small for my growing family, and needing a capable off roading tourer that can seat 5 pax comfortably, the Nissan Patrol is in my opinion a much better proposition in terms of price, comfort, practicality, space, off-road ability and driving dynamics (I test drove both). Plus that price difference buys a hell of a lot of fuel and I've heard that the way the engine has been shoe horned into that engine bay, makes it a tad difficult to work on. Paul, you asked the question at the end of the video regarding the interior of the Nissan... I have to agree 100%. If Nissan pull their finger out of the proverbial and upgrade the interior and charge another $10k for it (will still be shed loads cheaper than the LC), they'll sell like hotcakes here in Australia. Nissan take my money damn it, but only after you've upgraded that hideous interior and upgrade the tech!! Keep up the awesome work team CE!!

If u get an aftermarket company to upgrade the old fashion wood trim in the Patrol to carbon fibre, or whatever u want, it then looks excellent.

And fix their flaking paint issues, that’s a major one for me. I’ve held off 5 years waiting for Nissan to fix it . Suppose to be a new clear coat applied in June 21 onwards but I’ve seen two now saying paint is starting to lift, FFS Nissan can’t be that hard to fix the paint

What a design tragedy! The 2022 Land Cruiser 300 Series loses its split tailgate! On our LC200 we use the lower split tailgate all the time, to stand on, to sit on, as a table, as a workbench, as a place to put computers, cameras, drones etc etc etc, whilst the upper split provides protection from sun and rain. The one-piece tailgate on the new LC300 removes all of that fun and convenience and would absolutely stop us from buying one.
