No, these intakes do nothing for performance on stock turbos
Doesn't seem too bad and it doesn't seem to need the air scoops, not as straightforward as my M5 Eventuri Inlets and Intakes but love that matte finish.
Air is fed from factory ducting right into the sealed Eventuri ducts in front of the filters/housings.
Coming from a former Honda civic owner. Holy shit that was about as much labor as replacing headers, coil overs, intake, and pulley.
The turbo inlets can get a bit tricky, but well worth it!
What's the benefits over a stock air intake? Is this meant for race car conversion builds?
A significant increase in airflow. Much larger filters, piping diameters, completely re-engineered turbo inlets, etc. allow for an increase in airflow to the motor.
Mainly for looks and sound.
The benefits are sound, looks and possible car show wins. Other than that, these very expensive nice looking intakes does little to nothing for performance on the S58 unless you're upgrading your turbo's
