    Got myself a Gen1 Tiger 1200 this weekend just gone. Was a bargain. A world apart from the Honda Transalp I sold the day before. I’m loving the Tiger and think I might have got myself hooked. All the electronics on later generations are useful. Great review 👍

    Just bought Tiger 1200 SE 2020 model only 10k miles. It is brilliant bike and filtering is not hard as some may think. The heated grips don't last long . Mine already are sticky and sometimes the rubber stick on the leather gloves and they don't heat much either when cold. Cannot replace the rubber only as the element is build into and need to replace the heated grips set . The quote Triumph UK give me is £370 quite a cost .

    A bike like this would definitely be something to aspire too. Unfortunately most of us will never have the money to buy one. But, Im OK with that. I'm happy to be out. Whether on a 125 or a 50cc pedd 😀👍

    Always been fascinated by the latest Tigers 1200 over the past few years, but on December 21 2021 I purchased the very latest GT Explorer in Lucerne Blue ... . Been a BMW 1200 GS-rider since 2004. Now my third one °2015. Time to swap the boxer-engine for a three-in-line ! Expected delivery somewhere in June. Rejoice !! 😉😊

    I have an old Sprint GT, the fueling gauge delay seems to be a Triumph thing. A minute later and it sorts itself out. With regards to the heated grips, if they have stayed with the same formula as the Sprint, then the grips/heat are a one piece unit, which means you have to replace the whole grip/heat unit. Again, that's if it is still the same setup as my Sprint.
    Thanks for the videos, I'll pop by your channel again.

    I own a Tiger 1200 XRX LOW, which I think you left out. The screen is contrast adaptive, and the traction control can be turned off in the rider mode. The use of the quick shifter and auto blipper ruins the muscle memory for riding other bikes. So I don't have it. First gear get you to 60 mph! Big noise is for small Williams!

    Awesome review. Are any of the lower cc versions shaft driven too or are they chain driven? I also notice that this was almost entirely a 360 recorded video.... I just did a trackday and found myself kinda numb with the GoPro 8 footage, but loved the directed 360 stuff and would be pretty happy to lose the GoPro on trackdays.... column... really big column! :D ..... Reno be a happy gurrl :D .... Not sure I am ready to lose the headcam on vlogs yet.... but it is interesting to see folk realise how versatile the 360 cameras are! :-)
    Jeeebus, that was pretty scary from the chopper downwash! :O
    So with a 20l tank, it should manage 225 miles to a tank, that aint shabby! :-) In some of the summer heat, little Richard has very much needed his own visor and air vents.... often frowned upon to vent in public!! :D hahahaha

      I think the f850gs will need the f900r/xr engine to compete with the tiger 900. On paper now the tiger has the 850 beat everywhere torque power. Etc.

    • @Scarletsb0y
      @Scarletsb0y Před 3 lety

      @@chrishart8548 Tiger 900is a nice bike but does not have as much torque 87NM at 7250, F859GS has 92 at 6250, BHP mpg is about the same. On Paper they are about the same but riding them is a whole world of difference and for me, the BMW was a better ride. plus I've read a lot of bad stuff about the Triumph quality of the bike and I did not like the screen and the rider. All bikes come down to what you like no bike is bad, its nice to have a great choice for bikes around the 850cc
