    Great work putting this together. That description with parts list is a great resource itself

      Thank you, hopefully it helps others. I forgot to mention to people to update the grounds on the back of the engine while the manifold is out. Much easier to do.

    Nice video explanation as always. One day when I build my new 5.3 engine for my 4.8 truck, I'll probably do the TBSS intake swap as well.

    • @AnthonyJ350
      @AnthonyJ350  Před 4 lety

      Nice! Do you have another engine sitting ready to be built? I'm interested to see what our transmission and engine combination does on the dyno, it works pretty good right now and it's not even tuned yet with HP Tuners

    • @graysonsgarage5157
      @graysonsgarage5157 Před 4 lety

      @@AnthonyJ350 Not yet, I'm just going to run my stock 4.8 until it goes, and until it needs a replacement engine. I do however have plans to put a built 5.3 under the hood after the 4.8 fails, but not right now.

    • @AnthonyJ350
      @AnthonyJ350  Před 4 lety

      @@graysonsgarage5157 If the 4.8 ever fails you could just turn it into a 5.3 and put in better parts. That way you can keep the flat top pistons if they're still good.

    • @graysonsgarage5157
      @graysonsgarage5157 Před 4 lety

      @@AnthonyJ350 True, the 4.8 is basically a destroked 5.3 with flat top pistons, but has the same cam, heads, bore size, and even fuel injectors. However, with the mileage that my original 4.8 has, I find it better to get a new or used crate 5.3 short block and build it up from there.
