Yeah it’s sad how underrated Anthrax are. Like yeah Metallica, Megadeth and Slayer are top notch but Anthrax have incredible riffs as well.

Imo, Death metal bands have such incredible guitar playing. I just can’t get into the vocals. That’s why Thrash is supreme 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

With death metal, you start with the ones that vocals resemble extreme thrash like kreator and sodom so bands like possessed, death and obituary. Their vocals aren't the same with the common cookie monster vocals.

It’s not incredibly apparent from the death metal riffs in this video, but death metal typically hits quite harder. Basically, death metal has a lot more blast beats with the drums, the guitars are tuned lower (typically thrash doesn’t go lower than D standard, while some death metal goes as low as A standard), and the riffing style is a lot more aggressive. Arch Enemy’s earlier riffs are prime examples: “Nemesis” and “Machtkampf” are two really good ones. Mark Morton talked about how modern metal has a more “deathy” feel than earlier Bay Area thrash in an article by guitar world a while back if you want to see a contrast of the two styles.

Thrash Metal has more downpicking and Death Metal has more tremolo picking I like both subgenres even though I prefer downpicking over alt picking and tremolo picking.

The important thing which should be noticed about this channel is that the guitarists, the adversaries they display a lot of sarcasm to each other which is funny to watch, but then again heavy metal fans, no genre can be better than one another, heavy metal is family, please remember ❤
I like both, brutality of death metal riffs but i go for Thrash, its agressive and fast, and fun! Kreator is weird, have death metal voice but thrash riffs
